After ensuring the correctness of the details in the AIIMS NORCET Recruitment 2025 application form, candidates are required to pay the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 5 application fee through the payment gateway on the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) website integrated with the online application. Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the AIIMS NORCET online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent/ Birth certificate will be accepted by the All-India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted. - B.Sc Nursing and Registered as a Nurses and Midwife. OR
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery and Registered as a Nursery and Midwife with 2 Year Experience in 50 Bedded Hospital.

AIIMS NORCET Selection Process 2025 |
The AIIMS NORCET Selection Process 2025 is designed to recruit Nursing Officers for various AIIMS institutions across India. The selection process consists of two stages: NORCET Preliminary Examination and NORCET Main Examination. Candidates must clear both stages to secure a position as a Nursing Officer. Below is a detailed breakdown of the selection process, exam pattern, and important guidelines.
Stage I: AIIMS NORCET Preliminary Examination
The NORCET Preliminary Examination serves as the first qualifying stage in the recruitment process. Candidates who clear this stage are eligible for the NORCET Main Examination. However, the marks obtained in the preliminary exam will not contribute to the final ranking or merit list.
Examination Details
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Number of Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total Marks: 100
- Question Distribution:
- General Knowledge & Aptitude: 20 MCQs
- Nursing Course Syllabus: 80 MCQs (based on the essential qualification level syllabus)
Negative Marking
- Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
- 1/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Candidates must clear this stage to move on to the NORCET Main Examination. However, their performance in this exam will not influence the final ranking.
Stage II: AIIMS NORCET Main Examination
The NORCET Main Examination is the second and final stage of the selection process. Candidates who qualify for this stage will be assessed based on their nursing knowledge and skills.
Examination Details
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Number of Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total Marks: 100
Question Types and Content
- The exam consists of 100 MCQs, each carrying 1 mark.
- Questions will be subject-specific, covering the entire syllabus of Nursing courses taught at the essential qualification level.
- Case scenario-based questions will be included to evaluate practical nursing skills.
- Emphasis will be placed on nursing competencies and real-world applications.
Negative Marking
- 1/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
Final Selection Process
After the NORCET Main Examination, candidates will be ranked based on their performance. The final merit list will be prepared considering the marks obtained in the NORCET Main Examination only.
In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied:
- Candidate with higher marks in the Nursing Course-related questions will be ranked higher.
- If the tie persists, the older candidate (by date of birth) will be given a higher rank.
- If the tie still exists, the candidate with fewer incorrect answers will be ranked higher.

AIIMS Recruitment 2025 On-line Registration and Submission process will be terminated by 17 March 2025 at 16.59 hrs. Candidature of such applicants who fail to complete online submission of AIIMS NORCET application form by stipulated date and time will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- Applicants must fulfil all essential eligibility criteria (educational qualification, age limit, etc.) by last date of submission of AIIMS NORCET application form in respect to that post for which they are applying.
- AIIMS NORCET Recruitment 2025 Candidate Can Apply Between 12 April 2025 to 17 March 2025.
