Cook

• Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination from recognised board.
• Must have knowledge of Indian Cooking and Proficiency in trade.

Civilian Catering Instructor

• Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination from recognised board.
• Must have Diploma or Certificate in catering from any recognised institution.

MTS (Chowkidar)

• Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination from recognised board.
• Should be proficient in trade work.

Civilian Motor Driver (CMD)

• Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination from recognised board.
• Must possess valid driving licence for both HMV and LMV Licence.
• At least two years experience in driving motor vehicles.

Fire Engine Driver

• Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination from recognised board.
• Should be proficient in trade work. And 03 years experience of driving heavy vehicles and be in possession of valid driving licence.

Fireman

Leading Fireman

• Passed Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board.
• Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fittings and fire appliances and equipments fire engines, trailer, pumps, foam branches.
• Must be capable of training, guiding and controlling the working of ‘B’ crane and capable of taking independent charge of a shift.
• Must know elementary principles of Fire Fighting methods employed in fighting different types of fire.
• Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to perform the task allotted to the members of fire crew.
• Preferably should be certified by a reputed institution after having attended a fireman course.

Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test as under:-

Physical Standards

• Height: 165 cm, Chest: 81.5 -85 cm and Weight: 50 kgs (min.)

Endurance Test (Skill Test):

• Carrying a man (fireman lift of 65.5 kg to a distance of 183 mtrs within one minute 36 seconds)
• Clearing 2.7 mtrs wide ditch landing on both feet (Long jumps)
• Climbing 3 mtrs vertical rope using hands and feet.

Army ASC Centre South Syllabus for Examination

(a) General Intelligence & Reasoning:

The test for General Intelligence and Reasoning will consist of questions at the Matriculation level, including non-verbal questions. The test may cover topics such as analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, problem-solving analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory,

Discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, and non-verbal series. Additionally, the test will evaluate the candidate’s capacity to handle abstract concepts and symbols, as well as their ability to work with arithmetic computation and other analytical functions.

(b) General Awareness:

The test questions will adhere to the Matriculation standard and will evaluate the candidate’s general awareness of the environment and its practical application to society. The questions will assess knowledge of current events and scientific aspects of everyday observations and experiences that a Matriculation-educated person should know.

Additionally, the test will cover topics related to India and its neighboring countries, including Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research, without requiring specialized study in any specific discipline.

(c) English Language:

The test questions will adhere to the Matriculation standard and will evaluate the candidate’s understanding of the basics of the English Language, including vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and correct usage. The test will also assess the candidate’s writing ability.

(d) Numerical Aptitude:

The paper will contain questions related to various mathematical topics, such as Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals, and Fractions, as well as their relationships.

The test will evaluate the candidate’s understanding of Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio, Time and Work, and other related topics.

Overall percentage in Matriculation / equivalent in capital letters duly signed by the candidates with the following colour ink :
