Assam Rifles Technical & Tradesman Selection Process 2025 |
The Assam Rifles Technical & Tradesman Selection Process 2025 is designed to recruit skilled personnel for various technical and tradesman roles. The selection process includes multiple stages to evaluate physical fitness, technical skills and medical fitness. Candidates must qualify in each stage to be considered for final selection.
Selection Process for Assam Rifles Technical & Tradesman 2025
The recruitment process consists of the following stages:
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is the first stage of selection. It is conducted for candidates who clear the initial document verification. The test parameters vary based on the region.
PET Standards
All India (except Ladakh Region)
- Male Candidates: 5 km run to be completed within 24 minutes.
- Female Candidates: 1.6 km run to be completed within 8 minutes 30 seconds.
Ladakh Region
- Male Candidates: 1.6 km run to be completed within 7 minutes.
- Female Candidates: 800-meter run to be completed within 5 minutes.
Candidates who pass the PET, Physical Standard Test (PST) and Documentation move to the next stage.
Trade Test (Skill Test)
The Trade Test (Skill Test) is conducted for candidates applying for technical and tradesman roles.
- No marks are awarded for this test.
- Candidates must pass the test to proceed to the Written Test.
Written Test
The Written Test evaluates candidates on general knowledge, reasoning and trade-specific knowledge.
Written Test Pattern
- The exam consists of 100 marks.
- Minimum passing marks:
- General / EWS Candidates – 35%
- SC / ST / OBC Candidates – 33%
- Candidates who clear the Written Test are shortlisted for the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) based on merit.
DME & RME
Candidates who qualify in the Written Test must undergo a Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
- Conducted as per the Uniform Guidelines for Medical Examination for recruitment in Assam Rifles and CAPFs.
- Candidates declared medically unfit can apply for a Review Medical Examination (RME).
Merit List & Final Selection
After all stages, a Merit List is prepared based on the Written Exam performance and availability of vacancies.
- Candidates who pass all stages are placed in the Merit List according to their trade, category and state-wise vacancies.
- Only candidates who rank high enough in the Merit List receive final selection calls.
- Qualifying in all stages does not guarantee selection; it depends on the availability of vacancies.
Final Training & Enrollment
Candidates selected as per the Merit List receive instructions to join the Training Centre for enrollment. The final appointment depends on successful completion of training.
