BHEL Artisan Selection Process 2025 |
🛠️ BHEL Artisan Selection Process 2025
The recruitment process for Artisan Grade-IV consists of two stages and candidates must qualify both stages to be considered for final selection.
✅ Stage 1: Computer Based Examination (CBE)
- All candidates will appear for a Computer Based Test based on their respective trade.
- The CBE is for 100 marks and consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
- The exam will be held on the same day for all trades and all units.
- Exam will be trilingual: English, Hindi and one regional language (Tamil, Telugu, or Kannada) depending on the unit.
- Note: Foundryman exam is only in English and Hindi; Electronics Mechanic exam will include Kannada.
📊 Shortlisting for Skill Test:
- Candidates will be shortlisted for Stage 2 (Skill Test) in the 1:5 ratio (5 candidates per vacancy) based on CBE performance.
- Category-wise shortlisting will be done using a two-step process:
- UR and non-relaxed category candidates are listed first purely based on merit.
- Remaining reserved category candidates are then considered within their category for leftover vacancies.
⚠️ Relaxation in CBE Shortlisting:
PwD/Ex-Servicemen minimum qualifying marks:
- UR/EWS: 30/100
- OBC/SC/ST: 22.5/100
✅ Stage 2: Skill Test & Document Verification
- Skill Test is qualifying in nature, i.e. marks are not added to final merit.
- Document Verification is conducted to ensure candidates meet eligibility criteria.
- Candidates must attend both Document Verification and Skill Test.
📌 Candidates who do not qualify or attend the Skill Test will not be considered for final selection.
🏁 Final Merit List
- Final selection is based on CBE score only.
- Skill Test must be qualified, but does not carry marks in merit calculation.
- Final merit list is prepared unit-wise, trade-wise and category-wise.
⭐ Special Preference
Candidates who are:
- Best Apprentice or Runner-Up Apprentice in All India Skill Competitions by DGET:
- Will be exempted from CBE
- Called directly for Skill Test (if they meet all other eligibility criteria)
- Best Apprentice: 2 increments
- Runner-Up: Minimum of pay scale (no increment)
🩺 Medical Fitness
- Candidates must meet prescribed health standards.
- Must undergo a medical exam by BHEL’s Authorized Medical Officer.
- No relaxation allowed in medical standards.

BHEL Artisan Recruitment 2025 Online Registration and Submission process will be terminated by 12 August 2025 at 23.45 hrs. Candidature of such applicants who fail to complete online submission of BHEL Artisan application form by stipulated date and time will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- Applicants must fulfil all essential eligibility criteria (educational qualification, age limit, etc.) by last date of submission of BHEL Artisan application form in respect to that post for which they are applying.
- BHEL Artisan 2025 Candidate Can Apply Between 16 July 2025 to 12 August 2025.
