Central Teacher Eligibility Test Selection Process 2025

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national level examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to assess the eligibility of candidates for the post of teacher in primary and upper primary schools across India. CTET exam is conducted twice a year, generally in the month of July/ August and December/ January.

CTET exam is divided into two papers (Paper I and Paper II). Paper I is for candidates who want to teach in primary classes (Classes I to V), while Paper II is for candidates who want to teach in upper primary classes (Classes VI to VIII). Candidates who want to teach classes I to VIII have to appear for both Paper I and Paper II.

CTET exam is a multiple choice objective type test consisting of 150 questions of 1 mark each. The duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes. The question paper is available in both English and Hindi.
