The selection process for the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission State Engineering Service Examination 2026 consists of the following stages:

• Written Examination
• Interview / Personality Test

Candidates shortlisted from the written examination will be called for the Interview/Personality Test. Approximately 3 times the number of vacancies in each engineering discipline/category will be shortlisted for interview.

The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of combined marks obtained in the Written Examination and Interview.

Stage 1 – Written Examination

The written examination consists of two objective type papers.

Important Points

• Candidates have to choose only one engineering discipline in Paper-II.
• Paper-I will be bilingual (Hindi and English).
• Paper-II will be conducted in English language only.
• There will be no negative marking.
• The examination may be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode depending on the number of applications received.

Stage 2 – Interview / Personality Test
