Chhattisgarh High Court Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Legal Assistant

• 03 Years professional/ 05 years Integrated Degree in Law form any Law College or University.
• Applications shall be accepted from such ‘Law Graduates’ who have not started practice as an advocate or not engaged in any other profession or vocation/service.
• Those who have appeared in LLB. (Final Year) Examination and are awaiting results may also apply.
• Law graduates having scored not less than 55% marks in their LLB. examination are only eligible to apply for the post of Legal Assistant.

Stenographer

• Must be a Graduate from any recognised university.
• Must have passed Shorthand Examination and Typewriting examination in English from any recognized University/ Board/ recognised Board of shorthand and
• Typewriting examination /from recognised LT.I. @ 80 words per minute and 30 words per minute respectively.

Chhattisgarh High Court Recruitment Selection Process

Stenographer

Phase-I (Written Exam)

• The written test  will be consisting of 100 questions of Multiple Choice Question containing maximum 100 marks i.e. 01 No. for each question.
• The questions will be consisting of – English Language, Vocabulary, Making sentence, Grammar, Computer application, Current Affairs and reasoning aptitude.
• There shall be no Minus (-) Marking.
• To qualify the said test (written test), the candidate has to secure minimum 50% marks in case of UR & OBC Category and 40% marks in case of SC & ST Category.
• The candidates who qualify in Phase-I Test (written test – M.C.Q.) will only be called for Phase-II (Skill Test).

Phase-II (Skill Test)

Shorthand Speed Test for the post of Stenographer

Total marks for Skill test [Shorthand (English) Speed Test]	100 Marks
Marks to be deducted for each mistake	01 Marks
Duration for dictation of passage of 400 words	05 Minutes
Duration for transcription on Computer (Open Source Operating System (Ubuntu) with Word Processor Libre Office).	30 Minutes

Legal Assistant

Interview Only

For making selection, competence would be judged on the basis of interview only. The candidates for interview will be called only after screening. No T.A. will be payable for attending the interview.

Interested candidates should send their applications as per format attached and properly sealed in an envelope to subscribe the words “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ________CATEGORY_____” on the top of envelope.

• Fill all the columns of the application yourself, In plain and Capital letters.
• The application can be filled by the candidates either in English or Hindi.
• Separate application for each post should be applied. One candidate shall apply only one application.
• The date of written test / skill or trade test/ Interview (as applicable) will be intimated to eligible candidates separately.
