CRPF Constable Age Limit

Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the CRPF Constable online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent/ Birth certificate will be accepted by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted. CRPF Constable Eligibility Criteria

Constable Driver

• Matric or equivalent from a recognized Board.
• Should possess Heavy Transport Vehicle Driving License.

Constable Mechanic Motor Vehicle

• Matriculate or 10th Class pass (10+2 system) from a recognized board or equivalent.
• Two years ITI Certificate in Mechanic Motor Vehicle. And one year practical experience in the field of concerned trade. OR
• National/ State apprenticeship certificate in Mechanic Motor Vehicle trade of three year duration. And one year practical experience in the field of concerned Trade.

For all other Tradesmen

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.
• Must be proficient and worked in respective trades.

Pioneer Wing (CT(Mason/ Plumber/ Electrician)

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.
• One year experience in respective trades like Masonary / Plumbing / Electrician.
• Preference will be given to those having certificate of trade from recognized Industrial Training Institute.

CRPF Constable Selection Process

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the largest paramilitary force in India, responsible for maintaining internal security and counter-insurgency operations. The CRPF regularly conducts recruitment drives for the post of Constable (Technical/ Tradesmen) to fulfill the technical and trade-specific requirements of the force.

The selection process for the CRPF Constable (Technical/ Tradesmen) consists of four stages:

• Written Exam (CBT)
• Physical Test (PET/PST)
• Trade Test
• Medical Test

CRPF Constable Written Exam 2023

The first stage of the selection process is the written examination. The written exam is an objective type paper consisting of 100 marks, with questions on General Awareness/ Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, Analytical Aptitude, and Basic Knowledge in English/ Hindi.

CRPF Constable Syllabus 2023

General Intelligence and Reasoning: The component of General Intelligence and Reasoning will assess the candidate’s analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns primarily through non-verbal questions. The questions may cover topics such as analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, and more.

General Knowledge and General Awareness: The General Knowledge and General Awareness component aims to test the candidate’s knowledge of the environment around them, including current events and scientific aspects of everyday observations and experiences. The questions may also cover India and its neighboring countries, especially in the areas of sports, history, culture, geography, economic science, general policy, Indian Constitution, scientific research, and more. No special study of any discipline is required for these questions.

Elementary Mathematics: The Elementary Mathematics paper will include questions on a range of topics such as number systems, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and time, time and work, and more.

Hindi/ English: The candidate’s ability to understand basic English/Hindi and their basic comprehension will be tested.

CRPF Constable Physical Test (PST and PET)

The second stage of the selection process is the PST and PET, which test the physical fitness of the candidate. The PST includes height, chest and weight measurements, while the PET comprises of a 5 km race for male candidates and 1.6 km for female candidates, long jump and high jump.

CRPF Constable Trade Test

Candidates who pass the PST and PET are required to appear for a trade test. This test is designed to evaluate the technical knowledge of the candidate in their respective trade, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrician, etc.

CRPF Constable Document Verification

Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification from the pool of candidates who qualify in CBT, PST/PET and Trade test. The candidates are advised to carry original documents along with self attested photocopies of the same with them at the time of reporting at Recruitment Centre.

CRPF Constable Medical Examination

The final stage of the selection process is the medical examination. Candidates who clear all the previous stages are required to undergo a medical examination to assess their fitness for the job. This medical examination is conducted by the CRPF Medical Board.

The selection process for the CRPF Constable (Technical/ Tradesmen) is highly competitive, and candidates need to prepare well in advance to clear all the stages.
