After ensuring the correctness of the details in the CSIR NIIST MTS Recruitment 2026 application form, candidates are required to pay the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) application fee through the payment gateway on the CSIR – National Institute For Interdisciplinary Science And Technology (NIIST) website integrated with the online application. The selection process for CSIR-NIIST Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Recruitment 2026 will be conducted in multiple stages. Candidates must qualify each stage to move to the next round.

• Trade Test
• Written Examination
• Document Verification
• Medical Fitness Test
• Final Selection

Venue: All the tests will be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram.

Screening of Applications

All submitted applications will first be examined by the Screening Committee constituted by CSIR-NIIST. Only candidates who fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions will be shortlisted for the Trade Test.

Trade Test

Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Trade Test. This test is designed to assess the candidate’s practical skills and job-related knowledge according to the nature of duties of the post.

The mode and pattern of the Trade Test will be decided by the Selection Committee. The decision of the committee regarding qualification in the Trade Test will be final and binding on all candidates.

Written Examination

Candidates who qualify the Trade Test will be called for the Written Examination. The written test will be conducted in OMR-based objective type format.

The final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Examination.

Exam Centre

All stages of examination are expected to be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram. However CSIR-NIIST may conduct the examination in any other city or cities if required. Requests for change of examination centre will not be accepted.

CSIR NIIST MTS Recruitment 2026 Online Registration and Submission process will be terminated by 15 June 2026 at 17.30 hrs. Candidature of such applicants who fail to complete online submission of NIIST MTS application form by stipulated date and time will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
