Ferozepur Court Eligibility Criteria |
Clerk
- Candidates must have Graduated in any discipline from any recognized University.
- Passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one the subject.
- He/ She should have proficiency in operation of computer.
- Typing Speed 30 wpm in English on computer.
Stenographer Grade-3
- Candidates must have Graduated in any discipline from any recognized University.
- Passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one the subject.
- Candidates shall have to pass a test at the speed of 80 W.P.M. in English Shorthand and then transcribe the same on computer at the speed of 20 W.P.M.
- Should have proficiency in operation of computers (Word processing and Spreadsheets).

District Court Ferozepur Recruitment Selection Process |
The District and Sessions Judge, Ferozepur, has invited applications for the recruitment of Clerks (40 posts) and Stenographer Grade-III (7 posts) on an adhoc basis for a period of six months or until regular appointments are made by the Hon’ble High Court.
Below is a step-by-step explanation of the selection process for both posts:
Selection Process for Clerk (Adhoc) – 2025
1. Written Examination
Candidates applying for the Clerk post will have to appear for a written test which will include:

2. Qualifying Criteria
- Candidates must score at least 33% marks in each subject
- A minimum of 40% marks in aggregate is required to qualify the written exam
- There will be negative marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Unattempted questions will not be penalized
3. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
Only candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for the CPT. The number of candidates shortlisted will be 10 times the number of advertised posts.
CPT Includes:
Part-I: Spreadsheet Test
- Duration: 10 minutes
- Total Marks: 10
- Passing Marks: Minimum 4 out of 10 (i.e. 40%)
Part-II: English Typing Test
- Required Speed: 30 words per minute (W.P.M.)
Note: CPT is qualifying in nature and marks will not be counted towards the final merit list.
Selection Process for Stenographer Grade-III (Adhoc) – 2025
1. Shorthand and Typing Test
Applicants will have to:
- Take a dictation at 80 W.P.M. in English Shorthand
- Transcribe the passage on a computer at the speed of 20 W.P.M.
2. Computer Proficiency
Candidates must also demonstrate proficiency in computers, especially in word processing and spreadsheets.

- No separate intimation will be sent regarding test dates; all updates will be published on the official website.
- Candidates must bring original documents and valid ID proof at the time of the test
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in any stage of the recruitment
- Incomplete applications or those received after 5 PM on 06.06.2025 will be rejected
- Merely fulfilling eligibility conditions does not guarantee selection
- Reservation will follow Punjab Government and High Court guidelines
