DSSSB Group B & C Selection Process 2025

The selection process for DSSSB Recruitment 2025 (Post Code 19/25 to 52/25) will be conducted in multiple stages depending on the nature of the post. DSSSB follows a transparent, merit-based system to ensure fair selection.

Written Examination (Tier-I and Tier-II)

Most posts will have a Computer Based Test (CBT). The Tier-I Exam is generally objective type and consists of:

• General Awareness
• General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability
• Arithmetical & Numerical Ability
• English Language & Comprehension
• Hindi Language & Comprehension

For technical/specialist posts, questions will also cover the relevant subject/discipline. Tier-II Exam (if applicable) will test advanced knowledge of the subject and descriptive ability.

Skill Test / Trade Test (For Specific Posts)

Some posts require practical skills in addition to written knowledge. For such posts, DSSSB conducts:

• Stenography/Typing Test – for Stenographer, Junior Computer Operator and other clerical posts.
• Skill/Practical Test – for Draftsman, Technician, Surveyor, Mason and other technical trades.
• Physical Test – for Forest Guard and Caretaker posts where physical efficiency is mandatory.

Document Verification (DV)

Candidates who qualify the written/skill test must appear for document verification.

• Educational certificates, caste certificate, domicile, experience certificates (if any) and other eligibility documents will be checked.
• Any mismatch in documents may lead to disqualification.

Medical Examination 

• For posts involving physical activity (like Forest Guard, Caretaker, Naib Tehsildar), a medical fitness test will be conducted.
• Only medically fit candidates will be considered for final appointment.

Final Merit List

• The final selection will be based on marks obtained in the examination(s) and performance in the skill test (if applicable).
• For posts requiring both Tier-I and Tier-II, combined marks will be considered.
• In case of a tie, DSSSB follows the rules of age seniority and alphabetical order of candidate’s name.
