Proof Reader (Trainee)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
- 3 years experience in proofreading in a Govt or Semi-Govt printing press or an ISO certified private press.
Copy Holder (Trainee)
- Passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
- 02 years practical experience in proofreading in a Govt/Semi-Govt/ISO certified private press.
Offset Operator (Trainee)
- Passed 10+2 or equivalent.
- 02 years National Trade / Apprenticeship Certificate in offset printing or equivalent from ITI or recognized institution.
- 02 years practical experience in offset printing in a Govt/Private press with certificate.
Photo Type Setter Operator (Trainee)
- Passed 10+2 from a recognized board (must have passed matric and 10+2 from a school in Himachal Pradesh unless bonafide Himachali).
- One or two year Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application / IT with knowledge of MS Word PageMaker Photoshop Corel Draw from a recognized institute or ITI.
Plate Maker (Offset) (Trainee)
- Passed 10+2 or equivalent.
- 02 years National Trade / Apprenticeship Certificate in Plate Maker (Offset) from a recognized ITI or institution.
Fly Boy (Offset) (Trainee)
- Matriculation from a recognized board (or middle/matric from a school in HP as specified).
- At least 02 years practical experience in the trade from a Govt/Semi-Govt printing press or a registered private offset printing press.
Horticulture Extension Officer (Trainee)
- 04 year B.Sc. (Horticulture) degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
Laboratory Assistant (As Trainee)
- 10+2 with Science (Physics Chemistry Biology) or equivalent from a recognized board.
Statistical Assistant (As Trainee)
- B.Com or B.Sc (Non-Medical) or B.A with Economics Mathematics or Statistics as one subject or equivalent from a recognized university.
Medical Laboratory Technician G-II (As Trainee)
- 10+2 in Science from a recognized board.
- B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent B.Sc. degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized university or affiliated institution.
- Must be registered with the Himachal Pradesh Para Medical Council.

HPRCA Various Posts Selection Process 2025 |
Screening test (Computer Based Test / Written)
- Main test is a Computer Based Test or written screening test of 100 marks.
- Duration is 2 hours.
- Test format is 200 objective MCQs. Each question carries ½ mark.
- Question split
- 140 questions on subject or field concerned as per essential qualifications.
- 60 questions on General Knowledge including Himachal Pradesh GK current affairs everyday science logic social science general English and general Hindi of matric standard.
- The Aayog will decide exact date time and centre. Practice link may be provided to familiarize candidates with CBT format.
Shortlisting and cut offs
- Shortlisting is on the basis of marks obtained in the screening test.
- Category wise cut off marks will apply.
- If a candidate fails to produce a valid category certificate at document verification they will be treated in the appropriate main category and must meet that category cut off and pay any differential fee.
Document verification
- Candidates who qualify will be called for documentation.
- Bring original certificates and self attested copies. Documents to upload and produce include
- Matriculation certificate for age proof.
- Degree diploma and marksheets for essential qualifications. Provisional certificates allowed with marksheets.
- Experience certificates where required. Experience counts only if gained after the essential qualification and must be properly verified.
- Caste certificate if applicable.
- BPL or EWS certificate where applicable.
- All category certificates must be valid on the date of ORA and on the date of document verification. Benefit of reservation is for bonafide Himachal Pradesh residents only.
Skill trade or physical tests
- For posts that require skill trade test or physical test the Aayog will conduct those as per rules.
- Any such test will be announced in the detailed schedule.
Final selection and appointment
- Final selection is based on merit in the screening test subject to verification of documents and meeting all eligibility conditions.
- Recommendations of the Aayog remain valid only for the period specified for offering appointments.
- If any candidate is found to have used unfair means or tried to influence the selection process they will be disqualified and may be debarred from future selections.
Important rules and cautions
- No rechecking or re-evaluation of written test skill test or physical test scripts will be allowed.
- Incomplete ORA or missing uploads will be rejected.
- Category claims once made cannot be changed later.
- Keep contact details and registered email and mobile active for OTPs and updates.
