Indian Army JAG Entry Selection Process 2026 |
The selection process for Indian Army JAG Entry Scheme 125th Course (April 2027) consists of the following stages:
Stage 1: Application Shortlisting
- Applications are shortlisted by the Integrated Headquarters of MoD (Army).
- Shortlisting is based on the number of vacancies and call-up ratio.
- Only shortlisted candidates are invited for the SSB Interview. CLAT PG 2026 score is used for shortlisting.
Stage 2: SSB Interview
- Shortlisted candidates can choose their SSB Centre and date on a first come first serve basis.
- SSB is conducted at:
- Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh)
- Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh)
- Bengaluru (Karnataka)
- Jalandhar (Punjab)
- The SSB Interview is of five days.
- It consists of two stages:
- Stage I
- Stage II
- Candidates who fail Stage I are sent back on the same day.
- Only candidates who qualify Stage I are allowed to appear for Stage II.
- Candidates recommended after Stage II undergo the Medical Examination.
Stage 3: Medical Examination
- Only candidates recommended by the SSB are called for the Medical Examination.
- Candidates must satisfy the prescribed medical standards for Army Officer Entry.
- The SSB medical examination remains valid for 270 days from the date of SSB Medical to the PCTA joining date.
Stage 4: Merit List
- Qualifying the SSB Interview does not guarantee final selection.
- Merit is prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in the SSB Interview.
- Tie-breaking criteria:
- Candidate with higher age is placed higher in merit.
- If age is also the same, the candidate with higher qualifying examination marks is placed higher.
- Higher educational qualifications or previous performance are not considered while preparing the merit list.
- Only candidates who are within the available vacancies, medically fit and fulfil all eligibility conditions are considered for final selection.
Stage 5: Joining Letter
- Candidates who are recommended by the SSB, declared medically fit, meet all eligibility conditions and fall within the merit list as per available vacancies are issued a Joining Letter for Pre-Commission Training at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.
How to Apply for Indian Army JAG Entry April 2027 |
Indian Army JAG Entry April 2027 Online Registration and Submission process will be terminated by 17 August 2026 at 23.55 hrs. Candidature of such applicants who fail to complete online submission of Indian Army JAG Entry application form by stipulated date and time will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- Applicants must fulfil all essential eligibility criteria (educational qualification, age limit, etc.) by last date of submission of Indian Army JAG Entry application form in respect to that post for which they are applying.
- Indian Army JAG Entry 2026 Candidate Can Apply Between 17 July 2026 to 17 August 2026.
- Candidate Read the Notification Before Apply the Application Form in Indian Army JAG Entry Online Form 2026.
- Check all Required Documents for Indian Army JAG Entry Recruitment – Eligibility, ID Proof, Address Details, Basic Details.
