Indian Coast Guard Noida Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Civilian Motor Transport Driver (OG)

  • Passed Matriculation or equivalent pass.
  • Valid Driving license (both Heavy and Light motor vehicle).
  • 02 years experience in driving motor vehicles.
  • Knowledge of motor mechanism (should be able to repair minor defects in vehicles).

Motor Transport Fitter (Mech)

  • Passed Matriculation or equivalent pass.
  • Two years experience in automobile workshop.
  • Desirable: I.T.I. diploma in relevant trade.

Multi Tasking Staff (Motor Transport Cleaner)

  • Passed Matriculation or equivalent pass.
  • Two years experience in mechanical workshop.

Multi Tasking Staff (Mali)

  • Passed Matriculation or equivalent pass.
  • Two years Experience as Mali in any nursery or organisation.

Multi Tasking Staff (Peon)

  • Passed Matriculation or equivalent pass.

Indian Coast Guard Noida Recruitment Selection Process

Scrutiny of Applications: When all the applications from candidates are received, they will be carefully reviewed to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and include the necessary documents as mentioned earlier. Only the candidates whose applications pass this scrutiny will be selected and issued an admit card. The admit card will be sent to the shortlisted candidates by post, enclosed in the application envelope. Additionally, a list of the candidates who have been shortlisted will be made available on the Indian Coast Guard website.

Once the candidates have received their admit cards, they will be called in for document verification and a written examination. This step is reserved for those candidates who have successfully made it through the initial screening process.

Date of Examination: The date, time, and venue of the written examination will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates through the ICG website and the admit cards they have received.

Biometric Capture & Document Verification: After receiving the admit card, the shortlisted candidates will undergo biometric capture, which includes taking their photograph and thumb impression. This will be followed by document verification. Candidates must bring their original documents along with self-attested photocopies (two sets) as per the directives and instructions provided in their admit cards.

Written Examination: The shortlisted candidates will then participate in a written examination, which will be based on the educational qualifications required for the position. The examination will be conducted using pen and paper. The question paper will be bilingual and consist of 80 objective-type questions, with each correct answer awarded one mark. There will be no negative marking. The detailed syllabus, examination pattern, and marking scheme for the question paper can be found in the succeeding paragraphs.

The final merit list will be prepared based strictly on the candidates’ merit position determined by their marks obtained in the written examination. This list, along with necessary instructions, will be published on the Indian Coast Guard website. In the event that two candidates score the same marks in the written examination, the candidate who is older in age will be given a higher merit position.

The written examination for this position will cover the following subjects:

Mathematics: This section will include topics such as mathematical simplification, ratio and proportion, algebraic identities, interest, profit, loss and percentage, work, time, speed, and distance, as well as simple mensuration and geometry.

English: The English section will assess your knowledge of prepositions, sentence correction, changing sentences from active to passive voice or vice versa, converting direct speech to indirect speech and vice versa, verbs, tenses, non-finites, punctuation, substituting phrasal verbs for expressions, synonyms and antonyms, meanings of difficult words and the appropriate use of adjectives.

General Awareness: This section will test your knowledge of various topics including geography (soil, rivers, mountains, ports, inland, harbors), culture, religion, the freedom movement, important national facts about India, heritage, arts and dance, history, defense, wars, neighboring countries, awards, authors,

Discoveries, diseases, nutrition, current affairs, languages, capitals, currencies, common names, full forms, abbreviations, eminent personalities, national bird/animal/sport/flower/anthem/song/flag/mountains, sports championships, winners, terms, number of players, general science and more.

Reasoning: The reasoning section will evaluate your spatial reasoning, numerical reasoning, associative ability, logical reasoning, sequences, unscrambling spellings, coding and decoding, seating arrangement, blood relation, inequality, decision making and input-output skills.

These subjects encompass the syllabus for the written examination, providing a comprehensive assessment of your abilities and knowledge in various areas.
