Coast Guard Port Blair Group C Age Limit

The crucial date for determining the age limit will be the closing date for receipt of coast guard Port Blair group c offline application form. Only Matriculation/ SSC/ 10th class marksheet/ Birth Certificate issued by concerned Education Board/ Competent Authority will be considered as proof of Date of Birth.

Coast Guard Port Blair Group C Qualification

Store Keeper Grade-II

12th Pass from recognized Board or University.
One year’s experience in handling Stores.
Age Limit: 18-25 Years

Engine Driver

Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognized Boards.
Certificate of competency as Engine Driver.
Age Limit: 18-30 Years

Sarang Lascar

Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognized board.
Certificate of Competency as Sarang from a recognized Government Institute or equivalent.
Age Limit: 18-30 Years

Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade)

Candidates should have 10th Standard pass from any recognized board.
Must possess valid driving license for both heavy and light Motor Vehicles.
02 years experience in driving Motor Vehicles.
Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles).
Age Limit: 18-27 Years

Lascar 1st Class

Matriculation or equivalent pass from any recognized board.
03 years service on a Ship or Craft.
Age Limit: 18-30 Years

Multi-Tasking Staff (Peon)

Matriculation or equivalent pass from any recognized board.
Two years experience as Office Attendant.
Age Limit: 18-27 Years

Rigger

Matriculation or equivalent pass from any recognized board.
Should qualify a trade entrance examination.
Should have successfully completed apprenticeship or course in the relevant trade from an ITI or 4 years experience in the trade.

Coast Guard Port Blair Selection Process

Scrutiny of Applications: All applications received from the candidates will be scrutinized subject to the eligibility criteria and necessary documents and the admit cards will be issued to the shortlisted candidates for coast guard Port Blair group c document verification & appearing in the written examination.

Document Verification: All the shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification prior appearing in the coast guard Port Blair group c written examination. Candidates will be required to bring their original documents and self-attested Xerox copies (02 sets) of the same as per the directives / instructions given in their Coast Guard Port Blair Group C admit cards.

Written Examination: All the shortlisted candidates will undergo coast guard Port Blair group c written examination on the basis of educational qualifications prescribed for the post. The written examination will be pen-paper based and one hour duration. The coast guard Port Blair group c Question paper (bilingual) for written examination will consists of 80 objective type questions with one mark for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking.

Skill Test: The candidates who qualify the written test will be called for skill test (as applicable), which is qualifying in nature.

Merit list: Merit list will be prepared strictly based on merit position as per marks obtained in written examination and will be published on the Indian Coast Guard website alongwith necessary instructions.

General Conditions And Instructions

The envelope must be clearly super-scribed on the top as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _______ CATEGORY _______.
Fill all the columns of the application yourself, In plain and Capital letters.
No cutting or over harvesting in the application.
Candidates should not submit multiple applications for the same post.
Incomplete, incorrect, wrongly filled, over writing, without signature, without photograph application will be rejected.
The candidates must write their name, date of birth, father’s name and mother’s name strictly as given in the matriculation certificate otherwise their candidature be cancelled as and when it comes into the notice of the Indian Coast Guard Region (A&N), Port Blair.
