Indian Navy SSR & MR Qualification

Agniveer (SSR)

• Qualified in 10+2 examination with Mathematics, Physics and at least one of these subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from an educational board recognized by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

Agniveer MR (Chef / Steward / Hygienist)

• Candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognised by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

• The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) decides to reserve 10% vacancies for recruitment in CAPFs and Assam Rifles for Agniveers. source: HMO India (Twitter)
• AGNIPATH Scheme: Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has approved a proposal to reserve 10% of the job vacancies in Ministry of Defence for ‘Agniveers’ meeting requisite eligibility criteria.

Indian Navy SSR & MR Selection Process

• There is no change in the recruitment process. Candidates will be selected as per the earlier rules.
• Recruitment will be done on the basis of merit across the country. Those who will be selected in these recruitment exams will get a job for 04 years.

Indian Navy SSR Written Exam

• Written exam is conducted at the designated centre on the promulgated date and time. The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
• The question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Awareness and will be of 60 minutes duration.
• The candidates are required to pass in all sections as well as in aggregate.
• The syllabus for each type of entry is available in the download section.

Indian Navy MR Written Exam

• Written exam is conducted at the designated centre on the promulgated date and time.
• The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
• The question paper will comprise of two sections i.e. ‘Science & Mathematics’ and ‘General Awareness’.
• The standard of the question paper will be of 10th level and the syllabus for the examination is available in download section.
• Duration of examination will be 30 minutes.
• The candidates are required to pass in all sections as well as in aggregate.

Indian Navy Agniveer MR & SSR Scheme 2025

• The selection of youths will be recruited for short term i.e. 4 years.
• Apart from this, 25 percent of the soldiers will be able to remain in the army who will be skilful and capable. However, this will also be possible only if there are recruitments in the army at that time.
• Under the Agneepath scheme, youth will get an annual package of 4.76 lakh for the first year. By the fourth year, this package will be 6.92 lakh. Apart from this, other allowances will also be available.
• After 4 years of service, a service fund of Rs 11.7 lakh will be given to the youth. No tax will be levied on this service fund.
• If any Agniveer dies during the service of the country, then his family members will get an amount of more than Rs 1 crore including service fund along with interest. Apart from this, the salary of the remaining job will also be given.
• At the same time, if any Agniveer becomes disabled, then he will be given an amount of up to Rs 44 lakh. Apart from this, the salary of the remaining job will also be available.

• As Agniveer (SSR), you will become part of a highly technical Organization. You will be required to serve in powerful, modern ships such as Aircraft Carriers, Guided Missile Destroyers and Frigates, Replenishment Ships and highly technical and fascinating submarines and aircraft

Navy Agniveer SSR Work Environment:

• The work is divided amongst different teams that do different kinds of jobs. It could be operations of various equipment such as radars, sonars or communications or firing of weapons such as missiles, guns or rockets.

About Navy Agniveer MR Job

Navy Agniveer MR – Chef

• You will be required to prepare food as per menu (vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products), and accounting of ration. In addition, you will also be trained in fire arms and will be allotted other duties for efficient running of the organisation.

Agniveer MR – Steward

• You would be required to serve food in the Officers’ messes as waiters, housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of menu etc. In addition, you will also be trained in fire arms and will be allotted other duties for efficient running of the organisation.

Navy Agniveer MR – Hygienist

• They will be required to maintain hygiene in wash-rooms and other areas. In addition, you will also be trained in fire arms and will be allotted other duties for efficient running of organisation

Navy Agniveer MR Work Environment

• Beside their professional work, these branches are trained for onboard lookout duties as well as small arms handling and also trained for ship’s landing and boarding parties. They are involved in all the activities which are conducted by a ship.
