IOCL Junior Engineer Selection Process 2025 |
The selection process will be carried out in the following stages:
1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Total Questions: 100 objective type MCQs
- Duration: 150 minutes
- Marking Scheme: +1 for each correct answer, -0.25 for wrong answer
- Sections:

👉 Normalization of marks will be applied if exam is held in multiple sessions.
Qualifying Marks in CBT:
- General/EWS/OBC-NCL: 40% in each section + 45% overall
- SC/ST: 35% in each section + 40% overall
- PwBD: 25% in each section + 30% overall
2. Group Discussion (GD) & Group Task (GT)
- Candidates shortlisted from CBT will appear for GD and GT.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40%.
3. Personal Interview (PI)
- Candidates qualifying GD/GT will be called for Personal Interview.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40%.
4. Document Verification
- Before GD, GT and PI, documents will be verified.
- Only candidates with valid original documents in the prescribed format will be allowed.
5. Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME)
- Final selection is subject to being found medically fit as per IOCL guidelines.
6. Final Merit List
- Prepared based on a composite score:
