Assistant (Rajbhasha)

• Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Hindi Typewriting speed @25 words per minute on computer.
• Proficiency in the use of Computers.

Light Vehicle Driver-A

• 10th Pass + alid LVD license.
• 3 years’ experience as Light Vehicle Driver.

Heavy Vehicle Driver-A

• 10th Pass + alid HVD license.
• Must possess valid Public Service Badge.
• 5 years’ experience (3 years heavy + 2 years light)

Fireman-A

• Should have passed Matric from a recognized board.
• Physically Fit.

Cook

• Should have passed Matric from a recognized board.
• 05 year experience in similar capacity (as Cook) in a well established Hotel/Canteen.

Technician B

ISRO VSSC Recruitment Selection Process

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), through the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram, has released Advertisement No. VSSC-334 dated 31.05.2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill technical and paramedical positions including Technician-B, Draughtsman-B and Pharmacist-A under Pay Level 3 and 5.

Below is a step-by-step explanation of the selection process, from application to final empanelment, including written and skill tests.

📌 Stage 1: Online Application Process

• Applications must be submitted online via the official website: vssc.gov.in
• No offline applications are accepted
• Applicants must have valid educational and trade qualifications as of the closing date, 16 June 2025
• Candidates must upload all necessary certificates during the application

🧾 Stage 2: Application Fee and Refund Policy

• Application Fee: ₹500 or ₹750 for all candidates
• Full refund (after deducting bank charges) will be provided to:

  • Only if they appear for the written test

📋 Stage 3: Written Test – First Level of Screening

All eligible candidates will appear for a written test, which is objective type (MCQs) and will be conducted in exam centers across 25 cities in India including Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi.

• Total Questions: 80 MCQs
• Total Marks: 80
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Marking:
  • +1 mark for each correct answer
  • Negative marking: -0.33 for every wrong answer

✅ Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• General/EWS: Minimum 32 marks out of 80
• Reserved Categories: Minimum 24 marks out of 80

• Syllabus is based on the curriculum of ITI/NTC/NAC/ Diploma as applicable to the trade
• The test aims to assess basic trade knowledge, applied understanding and job-related skills

⚙️ Stage 4: Skill Test – Practical Evaluation

Candidates who qualify the written test will be shortlisted for the Skill Test in the ratio of 1:5 (minimum 10 candidates per post).

• Minimum qualifying score:
  • UR/EWS: 50/100
  • Reserved categories: 40/100

Once both stages are completed:

• Only those qualified in skill test will be considered for final empanelment
• Merit list is prepared based on written test marks only
• Tie-breaker criteria:

1. 1. Higher marks in written test
   2. Higher percentage/marks in the qualifying ITI/Diploma
   3. Older age (preference to senior candidate)
