ITBP Assistant Commandant Age Limit

The date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation certificate available on the date of submission of application shall be accepted as proof for determining the age and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

ITBP Assistant Commandant Document Verification

The candidates who qualify the PST will undergo verification of original document. Original documents will be returned on the spot after verification and self attested copies of certificates will be retained with the application.

ITBP Assistant Commandant Written Exam

The candidates who qualify in documentation will be required to undergo written examination. The written examination carrying 200 marks will consist of objective type multiple choice question (MCQ). Minimum qualifying marks of written examination for UR/EWS; 50% Marks (45% for SC/ST/ OBC). However, pattern of written test i.e. OMR based or computer based test will be at the discretion of ITBP.

Written Exam Pattern & Syllabus

• Total No. of Questions: 200
• Maximum Marks: 200
• Time Duration: 3 Hours
• Paper Language: Bilingual (Hindi and English)
• Syllabus (Professional Knowledge): Components of an Automobile, Basic engine terminology, CI Engine, SI Engine, Engine components & basic engine nomenclature, Fuels and combustion, Lubrication and Lubricants,
• Engine cooling system, Two-stroke engine, Four stroke engines, Turbochargers, Air Pollution, Engine performance Batteries, Emission Control, The motor vehicle act, 1988.

ITBP Assistant Commandant Interview

Candidates declared qualified in the PET,PST, Documentation & Written exam would be eligible to appear for interview. The number of candidates to be called for the interview with original documents/ certificates, shall be limited to five times of the total number of vacancies in each category.

Interview will cover knowledge of professional subject, profession related experience, personality & appearance, general awareness and extra curricular activities e.g. participation in Sports/ Debate/ Dramatics/ Photography/ Music/ NSS/ NCC etc.
