ITBP Sports Quota Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed Matriculation or its equivalent from any recognized board.

Sports Qualification

Individual Event (International/ National)

The sportsperson who have participated or won medal(s) in any International Sports events recognized by International Olympic Association as a member of the Indian Team and players who have won medal (s) m any National Games or Championships recognized by Indian Olympic Association Sports Federation of (concerned Sport), Youth/Junior National Championship held from 29 November 2021 to 28 November 2023.

Team Event (International/ National)

In the team event, sportsperson who have won any medal in National Games/National Championships Both (Junior & Senior), Recognized by respective Federation/ Association recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports or conducted by the Indian Olympic Association during the period of 29 November 2021 to 28 November 2023, while representing State/UT/Sports Control Boards, Sports person should be playing member of the team. However, this condition does not apply to medal (s) in international tournaments.

Biometric Test

Before start of documentation all candidates will undergo verification of identity including Biometric capture. Biometric identification of candidates can also be taken at any stage of recruitment.

Documentation

All candidates reporting for recruitment will have to. go through documentation, in which candidates will have to produce all original documents/certificates pertaining to age, education, caste, sports achievement, proof to avail age and height relaxation etc. in the prescribed format before the Recruitment Board including the document already uploaded on ITBP recruitment website.

The original documents (Educational, Sports, Domicile and Caste Certificates etc.) of the candidates will be checked by the recruitment board.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Candidates who qualify in documentation will undergo PST as per standards mentioned at below table.

Trial Test

The Trial Test for 50 marks will be conducted for recruitment in Hockey, Kabaddi, Football, Volleyball and Equestrian. The marks so obtained shall be added to the marks obtained by the candidates as per the table given at Para- 4(d) and will be counted for drawing the overall merit of the candidate. There shall be no appeals for the re-conduct of Trial Tests.
