Punjab Clerk Age Limit |
Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the Punjab Clerk online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent/ Birth certificate will be accepted by the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted. The age limit for Punjab Clerk is;

Punjab Clerk Selection Process 2025 |
Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) will conduct the recruitment for Clerk and Clerk IT posts through multiple stages to ensure fair selection of deserving candidates. The complete selection procedure is explained below based 100% on the official notification.
Stage 1 – Written Examination (MCQ Type)
All eligible applicants will be called for an Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) Written Exam.
The written exam will be conducted in two parts:

| Part B | Questions based on academic qualification & syllabus released by the board | Marks counted for merit preparation |
Only those who qualify Part A will have their Part B marks considered for merit ranking. Part A marks will not be added to the final score.
Stage 2 – Typing Test
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of Part B Written Exam merit will be called for a typing test in Punjabi and English.

Punjabi typing test will be held in Unicode compliant Raavi font.
⚠️ Typing test is qualifying only. Candidates must pass it to move ahead however its marks will not be included in the merit list.
Stage 3 – Final Merit List
Final Selection will be based only on Part B marks of the written examination. Typing test and Part A are only qualifying criteria and their marks will not affect merit.
Stage 4 – Document Verification / Counselling
Candidates who clear the typing test will be invited for counselling/document verification. Approximately three times the total vacancies or as decided by authority will be called.
During this stage candidates must present all original certificates and photocopies related to qualification, technical certificates and reservation category documents.
Department Allocation
Candidates who fall in the selection zone will be allotted departments based on:
✔ Merit (marks of Part B)
✔ Preference filled by the candidate
✔ Availability of vacancies in that department
Tie Breaking Rules (if two candidates score same marks)
If two or more candidates score equal marks in Part B, preference will be given in below order:
- Candidate with higher age
- If age is the same then higher marks in required qualification
- If still tied then higher Matriculation marks

PSSSB Clerk Recruitment 2025 Online Registration and Submission process will be terminated by 26 December 2025 at 23.59 hrs. Candidature of such applicants who fail to complete online submission of Punjab Clerk application form by stipulated date and time will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- Applicants must fulfil all essential eligibility criteria (educational qualification, age limit, etc.) by last date of submission of Punjab Clerk application form in respect to that post for which they are applying.
