Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the PSSSB PTI Teacher online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent/ Birth certificate will be accepted by the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted. The selection process for the recruitment of 2000 Physical Training Instructors (PTIs) in the Punjab State Elementary Education (Post-Primary Cadre) consists of three major stages:
ā 1. Written Test
- Type: Objective (MCQ Based)
- Mode: Offline (OMR Sheet Based)
- Maximum Marks: 70

š Note: The written exam serves as the primary merit-deciding component for selection.
ā 2. Physical Eligibility Test (PET)
After qualifying the written exam, candidates will undergo a Physical Eligibility Test, which is of qualifying nature only.

- A candidate must successfully complete 3 out of the 5 physical test components to qualify.

ā ļø Candidates who fail to qualify at least 3 components will be disqualified.
ā 3. Sports Achievement Weightage
In addition to the written exam, candidates will be awarded up to 30 marks based on their certified sports achievements, as per the gradation certificate issued by the Punjab Sports Department.
šļø Marks Allotted as per Sports Gradation:

- Candidates can claim marks for only one valid gradation certificate, following the Revised Sports Gradation Policy 2023.
- This component boosts overall merit but is not mandatory to qualify.
š Important: Candidates applying under the sports quota will be governed by the Punjab Sportsmen Recruitment Rules, 1988.
š Final Merit Calculation

- Physical Test is qualifying and does not contribute to merit marks.
- Final selection is based on the combined score of the written exam and sports weightage.
- Candidates who do not qualify the PET will be rejected regardless of marks.
š Additional Note on Punjabi Language Requirement:
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a subject.
- AND must pass a qualifying Punjabi language test (Matric level) with at least 50% marks, to be conducted by the recruitment board.
- Failing this language test, even with good merit marks, will result in disqualification.

Punjab PTI Teacher Recruitment 2025 Online Registration and Submission process will be terminated by 22 August 2025 at 23.45 hrs.
