RPSC RAS Age Limit 2023 |
Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the RPSC RAS online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent/ Birth certificate will be accepted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted. The age limit for RPSC RAS is;

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) conducts the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) examination to recruit qualified candidates for administrative positions in the state government of Rajasthan. It is a highly competitive exam that requires thorough preparation and a good understanding of the exam pattern and syllabus.
The RPSC RAS exam consists of three stages: the Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination and the Personality and Viva-Voce Examination.:
Preliminary Examination
- The Preliminary Examination is the first stage of the RAS exam.
- It is an objective type (multiple-choice) examination.
- The paper is divided into two parts: General Knowledge and General Science.
- Each part carries 200 marks and the total duration of the exam is 3 hours.
- There is negative marking, where 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Main Examination
- The Main Examination is the second stage of the RAS exam, which consists of four papers.
- Each paper is descriptive in nature and carries 200 marks.
- The total duration for each paper is 3 hours.
- Paper I: General Studies-I (Unit-I: History and Culture, Unit-II: Indian Polity, Unit-III: Geography, Unit-IV: Economy)
- Paper II: General Studies-II (Unit-I: Administrative Ethics, Unit-II: General Science & Technology, Unit-III: Earth Science (Geology and Geophysics), Unit-IV: Environmental Science)
Paper III: General Studies-III (Unit-I: Indian Economy, Unit-II: Economy of Rajasthan, Unit-III: Public Administration, Unit-IV: Legal and Administrative Ethics) - Paper IV: General Hindi and General English
Interview/ Personality Test
Candidates who qualify in the Main Examination are called for the Personality and Viva-Voce Examination. This stage assesses the candidate’s personality traits, communication skills, leadership qualities and overall suitability for administrative positions. The maximum marks allotted for this stage are 100 marks.
