After ensuring the correctness of the details in the SSC CGL Recruitment 2025 application form, candidates are required to pay the Group B and C application fee through the payment gateway on the Staff Selection Commission website integrated with the online application. Online fee payment through Net Banking or debit / credit card will be available upto 05 July 2025 at 23:00 hrs.

SSC CGL Recruitment Age Limit |
Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the SSC CGL online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent/ Birth certificate will be accepted by the Staff Selection Commission for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted. The age limit for SSC CGL is;
- Minimum Age Required :- 18/20 Years
- Maximum Age Limit :- 27-32 Years (Post Wise)

SSC CGL Recruitment Eligibility Criteria |
Junior Statistical Officer
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject and at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level. Or
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subject.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subject.
- The candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the 03 years or all the 6 semesters of the graduation course.
All Other Posts
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

🔹 Stage 1: Tier-I Examination
- Type: Objective Multiple Choice
- Mode: Computer-Based
- Duration: 60 minutes (80 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates)
- Total Questions: 100
- Total Marks: 200
- Negative Marking: 0.50 for each wrong answer

- Paper-I: Mandatory for all posts
- Paper-II: Only for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Statistical Investigator Grade-II

Important:
- Paper-I is compulsory for all posts.
- Sections I, II, and III will be conducted in Session-I. Section IV (DEST) will be conducted in Session-II.
- Negative marking: 1 mark for each wrong answer in Sections I–III of Paper-I.
- Section-III (Computer Knowledge) and Section-IV (DEST) are qualifying but essential for certain posts.
▪️ Paper-II (Only for JSO/Statistical Investigator):
- Subject: Statistics
- Questions: 100
- Marks: 200
- Duration: 2 hours
- Negative Marking: 0.50 marks for each wrong answer
🔹 Data Entry Speed Test (DEST)
Applicable For: Most Group “C” posts (e.g., Tax Assistant, UDC/SSA in Central Bureau of Narcotics)
- Requirement: 2000 key depressions in 15 minutes
- Nature: Qualifying
- Exemption: PwBD candidates with OH (Orthopedically Handicapped) can be exempted with medical proof
🔹 Physical Standards / Medical Tests
Applicable For Specific Posts, such as:
- Sub-Inspector in CBI/NIA
- Inspector (Examiner, Preventive Officer, Central Excise)
- Sub-Inspector in Narcotics Bureau

Note: Candidates must ensure they meet the required physical/medical standards; failing this will lead to rejection even if selected on merit.
🔹 Final Selection
- Based on marks scored in Tier-II (normalized, if conducted in multiple shifts)
- Candidates must clear all sections and qualifying tests (Computer Knowledge & DEST)
- Document verification and physical standards compliance (where required) before final allotment

- Original mark sheets
- Degree certificates
- Valid ID proof
- Reservation certificates (if applicable)
- Proof of physical/medical standards (for specific posts)

SSC CGL Recruitment 2025 Online Registration and Submission process will be terminated by 04 July 2025 at 23:00 hrs. Candidature of such applicants who fail to complete online submission of SSC CGL application form by stipulated date and time will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
- Applicants must fulfil all essential eligibility criteria (educational qualification, age limit, etc.) by last date of submission of SSC CGL application form in respect to that post for which they are applying.
