SSC Constable Exam Pattern 2024
The SSC Constable GD Computer based examination will consist of one objective type of paper containing 80 questions carrying 2 marks each, all questions will be of Objective Multiple-Choice Type. The computer-based examination will be conducted in English and Hindi only. (Duration/ Time Allowed: 60 Minutes)

The questions in the Computer Based Examination will be of Matriculation level. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
All questions will be of Objective Multiple-Choice Type. The computer-based examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and in 13 Regional languages viz. (i) Assamese, (ii) Bengali, (iii) Gujarati, (iv) Kannada, (v) Konkani, (vi) Malayalam, (vii) Manipuri, (viii) Marathi, (ix) Odia, (x) Punjabi, (xi) Tamil, (xii) Telugu and (xiii) Urdu.
SSC Constable GD Syllabus 2024
The SSC Constable Examination syllabus will cover the following areas:
General Intelligence and Reasoning: This section will assess analytical aptitude and the ability to observe and recognize patterns. Questions will mainly be of a non-verbal nature and may include topics such as analogies, spatial orientation, visual memory,
Discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, arithmetical reasoning, figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
General Knowledge and General Awareness: This part aims to test the candidate’s general awareness of their surroundings. Questions will be designed to evaluate knowledge of current events, everyday observations, and experiences from a scientific perspective.
The test will also cover questions related to India and its neighboring countries, particularly focusing on sports, General Polity, Indian Constitution, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, and scientific Research. These questions won’t require specialized knowledge in any particular field.
Elementary Mathematics: This paper will include questions on problems related to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, and the relationship between Numbers. It will also cover fundamental arithmetical operations, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, etc.
English/ Hindi: Candidates will be tested on their ability to understand basic English or Hindi, and their proficiency in basic comprehension.

The test will include tasks such as running, long jumps, and high jumps, evaluating endurance, agility, and strength.
