SSC MTS Syllabus 2023: Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification for SSC MTS Recruitment 2023 on 18th January 2023. The commission will conduct SSC MTS Paper I in April 2023. This year Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2023. As per the revised exam pattern, candidates will be selected on the basis of Paper 1 only. SSC MTS Exam Pattern (Revised)

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) Paper-I Exam is a competitive examination conducted by the SSC for recruitment of candidates to the post of Multi Tasking Staff in various departments of the Government of India. In this article, we will discuss the pattern of the SSC MTS Exam 2023.

  • Exam Duration: 90 minutes

Marking Scheme: There will be no negative marking in SSC MTS Paper 1 Session-I. In Session-II, there will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.

The SSC MTS Exam consists of four parts:

Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving: The section will test the candidates’ ability to identify patterns, visualize, analyse and draw conclusions from the given data.

Numerical and Mathematical Ability: This section will assess the candidates’ ability to perform basic mathematical operations and solve mathematical problems.

English Language and Comprehension: The section will test the candidates’ understanding of the English language and their ability to communicate effectively in English.

General Awareness: This section will test the candidates’ general awareness and knowledge of current events and general knowledge.

Cut-Off Marks: The cut-off marks for the SSC MTS Paper-I Exam will be determined based on the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam and the number of vacancies available.

Note: The SSC MTS Paper-I Exam is just the first stage of the recruitment process and the candidates who qualify in this exam will be eligible to appear for the SSC MTS Paper-II Exam.

SSC MTS Paper-I Exam 2023 will be conducted online for a duration of 90 minutes and will consist of 90 multiple-choice questions from two sections. Candidates need to score the minimum cut-off marks to be eligible for the next stage of the recruitment process.

It will include questions on problems relating to Integers and Whole Numbers, LCM and HCF, Decimals and Fractions, Relationship between numbers, Averages, Simple Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Area and Perimeter of Basic Geometric Figures, Distance and Time, Fundamental Arithmetic Operations and BODMAS, Percentage, Ratio and Proportions, Work and Time, Direct and inverse Proportions, Lines and Angles, Interpretation of simple Graphs and Data, Square and Square roots etc.

The SSC MTS syllabus 2023 for Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving will include questions designed to test the candidate’s ability. The questions in this part intend to measure the candidates’ general learning ability. The questions will be broadly based on Alpha-Numeric Series, Coding and Decoding, Problem Solving and Analysis, Nonverbal Reasoning based on diagrams, age Calculations, Calendar and Clock, Analogy, Following Directions, Similarities and Differences, Jumbling, etc.
