After ensuring the correctness of the details in the UPPSC Teacher application form, candidates are required to pay the Assistant Teacher, Trained Graduate Grade (Male/Female Branch) application fee through the payment gateway on the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) website integrated with the online application. Online fee payment through Net Banking or debit / credit card will be available upto 28 August 2025 at 23.59 hrs.

UPPSC Teacher Selection Process 2025

✅ UPPSC Assistant Teacher Selection Process 2025

The recruitment process for Assistant Teachers in government colleges and special education departments of Uttar Pradesh will be conducted in the following stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

This is the first stage of screening. Only candidates who clear this stage will be eligible for the Main Exam.

Key Details:

• Exam Mode: Offline (OMR Based)
• Type: Objective Multiple Choice Questions
• Total Questions: 150
  • 30 from General Studies
  • 120 from the concerned subject
• Total Marks: 300
  • Each question carries 2 marks
  • Negative Marking: 0.33 marks deducted for every wrong answer
• Duration: 2 hours

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• SC/ST: 35%
• Others: 40%

Note: Fifteen (15) times the number of total vacancies will be shortlisted for the Main Examination based on performance.

2. Main (Written) Examination

Candidates qualifying the prelims will be eligible for this stage. The details of the main exam will be notified later.

Important Points:

• Candidates must submit a fresh application form for the main exam along with the fee.
• Exam centers and admit cards will be issued separately.

3. Final Selection

• The final selection will be based only on marks obtained in the Main (Written) Examination. No interview will be held.
• The selection list will be prepared category-wise according to merit and reservation rules.

4. Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates in support of:

• Educational qualification
• Reservation category (if claimed)
• Age
• Disability (if applicable)
• Preferential qualifications (if claimed)

5. Medical Examination

All selected candidates must undergo a medical fitness test before appointment.

Additional Key Points:

• The minimum age is 21 years and the maximum is 40 years as on 01 July 2025. Relaxations apply to reserved categories.
• Reservation benefits apply only to domiciled candidates of Uttar Pradesh.
• The selection will be done under UP Subordinate Educational Services Rules 1983 and UP Handicapped Welfare Department Teacher’s Services Rules 2000 (as amended).
• Candidates who participated in NCC with a “B” certificate or served in Territorial Army for two years will get preferential marks.
