How to find your nearest Aadhaar Card Center?
For any improvement in your Aadhaar, first you have to go to your nearest Aadhaar card center. Now how will you find your nearest Aadhar card center? Let’s know
First of all, open your browser on mobile / desktop. And search Aadhar card official website www.uidai.gov.in.
Now you will see “Locate an Enrolment Center“ on the first page of the website, you have to click on it.
Here you will see three options to search for your nearest Aadhaar card center – (1) state, (2) postal (PIN) code, (3) search box. Choose the option that you feel is right from these.

First way – by going to State Option.
Step 1 : Click above the first State.
Step 2 : Now a new window will open in front of you. In this, you have to fill the information of your state, district, sub district, village / city / town.
Step 3 : You will be asked to tick in a box that says (Show only Permanent Center) it is optional.
Step 4 : After this you have to fill the CAPTCHA verification code in the box below.
Step 5 : Now click on “Locate a Center”.
Step 6 : Finally, a new window will open in front of you, in which you will get the information of your nearest Aadhar card center.
Second Way – By going to Postal (PIN) Code
Step 1 : First, click on the Postal PIN Code for this.
Step 2 : Now enter your Postal PIN Code / PIN code of your area.
Step 3 : You will be asked to tick in a box that says (Show only Permanent Center) it is optional.
Step 4 : After this you have to fill the CAPTCHA verification code in the box below.
Step 5 : Now click on “Locate a Center”.
Step 6 : Finally, a new window will open in front of you, in which you will get the information of the nearest Aadhar card center based on your area code.
Third Way – Search by Search Box
Step 1 : Choose the Search Box from the given methods.
Step 2 : Here you have to fill the name of your Local Area / City or District.
Step 3 : You will be asked to tick in a box that says (Show only Permanent Center) it is optional.
Step 4 : After this you have to fill the CAPTCHA verification code in the box below.
Step 5 : Now click on “Locate a Center”.
Step 6 : Finally, a new window will open in front of you, in which you will get the information of the nearest Aadhaar card center based on the name of your local area / city or district.
How to book an appointment to update Aadhaar Card?
To get a new Aadhaar card or to correct any error in it, you have to go to the nearest Aadhaar card center. Before that you can take an appointment through online. For this you do not have to face any problem, for this we are telling you how to take an appointment before going to the Aadhar Card Center.
Step 1 : First of all, open your browser on mobile / desktop. And search Aadhar card official website www.uidai.gov.in.
Step 2 : Now you will see “Book an Appointment“ on the first page of the website, you have to click on it.
Step 3 : Now you have to select your city or location.
Step 4 : Here you will see three options – (1) Aadhar Update, (2) New Aadhar, (3) Manage Appointments.
Step 5 : Click on one of the options according to your work.
Step 6 : After this, enter the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar in the box given below.
Step 7 : Now fill the CAPTCHA code.
Step 8 : A OTP code will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter it
Step 9 : After this, a new window will open in front of you. In which you have to fill the information requested.
Step 10 : Now click on the Next button.
Step 11 : Here you have to update in your Aadhaar card. Select that
Step 12 : Fill in the information requested from you according to the options you have selected below. Now click on Next.
Step 13 : Select the date of your appointment in the next window. Note: – Here you are shown the place for appointment. Now click on Next.
Step 14 : Finally, a new window will open in front of you, which will contain details of the appointment. Please check it before submitting.
Step 15 : Now click on Submit button.
Step 16 : The process of booking your online appointment is complete. Now you have to go to the place / time of the appointment given with the given slip.
How To Apply/Enrolled For New Aadhar Card
Visit the given site to find an Aadhar Enrollment Center near you. Click Here
Carry The required documents such as Identity Proof, DOB Proof and Address Proof.
Fill the Enrollment Forms at the center. Click here to get enrollment form online.
Submit the enrollment form along with the required documents and your biometric verification.
14 digit enrollment number is given to you for status check and download E-Aadhar.
After full Verification, Aadhar will be sent to your address (given in proof of address) via post. It can take upto 90 days.

Step 4 : Submit your date of birth proof along with the form.

How to Change/ Update Your Mobile Number in Aadhaar

There are some instances where people are no longer using the mobile number that was registered with UIDAI. The following steps can be followed to change or improve the mobile number entered in your Aadhaar card :-
Step 1 : Go to any of your nearest Aadhaar Enrollment / Update Centers.
Step 2 : To improve the mobile number given in your Aadhaar card, fill the Aadhaar update form.
Step 3 : Remember that while filling the form, just enter your current mobile number.
Step 4 : There is no need for you to mention your previous mobile number.
Step 5 : You do not have to provide any proof to update your mobile number.
Step 6 : Now the executive will register your request.
Step 7 : You will be handed an acknowledgment slip containing your URN.
Step 8 : To avail this service you have to pay a fee of Rs 25 / –
Now after Aadhaar is updated, you can download your Aadhar anytime.
How to Update/Change Name in Aadhar Card
If you want to change or update your name in Aadhaar card, then you have to follow the steps given below. Which are mentioned as follows: –
Step 1 : Visit an Aadhaar Enrollment / Update Center near you.
Step 2 : To change or update your name, fill the Aadhaar update form.
Step 3 : While filling the form, enter your current mobile number in it.
Step 4 : Your request will be registered by the Executive at the Aadhaar Enrollment / Update Center.
Step 5 : Now after this, you will be given an acknowledgment slip containing the URN.
Step 6 : To avail this service you have to pay a fee of Rs 25 / -.
Now after Aadhaar is updated, you can download your Aadhar Card.
How to Update Address in Aadhar Card
An applicant can improve his address, name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and e-mail ID on his Aadhaar card. To update, change or improve your address on your Aadhar card, you should follow the steps given below:
Step 1 : First you go to the Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal i.e. https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/
Step 2 : If you have a valid address certificate, go to the Proceed to Update Address. Visit Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal and choose UIDAI website.
Step 3 : If the applicant does not have a valid address certificate, select “Request for Address Verification“.
Step 4 : Now a new window will open in front of you. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number or 16-digit number virtual ID number in this new window.
Step 5 : Now enter the captcha verification code from the given box.
Step 6 : Now, click on “Send OTP”, this OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Step 7 : You can optionally use the TOTP feature to authenticate if you want.
Step 8 : After this you click on the login button.
Step 9 : After that, now, through the address proof, click on Address Update Address or click on Via Update Address via Secret Code.
Step 10 : Fill in all the details you want to improve and enter your full address when correcting it.

If you want to include the name of the Guardian / parent / spouse as part of the address, then choose the address correction option. Then click on the appropriate box in the C / O details and enter the person’s name in the subsequent field. The C / O details can be updated as part of an address update.
Fill your full address here and upload all the supporting POAs, even if you only want to update / correct the C / O details.
Step 11 : Now after this, upload the original color scanned copies of your POA documents.
Step 12 : Now notice that preview the accuracy of the recorded details in both English and local language.
Step 13 : Now you can submit the request. To keep track of the status of your Aadhaar update, you must note your update request number (URN).
Please note: You can also download / print your acknowledgment copy. So that you can easily download it from the status of Aadhar card.
How to Download E-Aadhar Card
Click on Aadhar Card download Link.
Enter the Enrollment No./Aadhar No./UID. A unique OTP Sent to your Registered Mobile No.
Enter the OTP to Download the Aadhar.
Note : A password protected File is downloaded to your Device. Default Password of this Aadhar file is your Area Pin Code.
