The selection process for UPSSSC Lekhpal Recruitment 2025 is conducted strictly as per the official notification. The recruitment follows a two stage system and the final selection is based only on the main written examination. There is no interview in this recruitment.
Stage 1: Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET 2025)
- PET 2025 is mandatory for all candidates
- Only candidates who appeared in PET 2025 and have a valid score card are eligible
- PET score is used only for shortlisting, not for final merit
- Candidates with zero or negative marks in PET are not shortlisted
Candidates are shortlisted for the main examination on the basis of PET 2025 normalized score, category wise.
Stage 2: Lekhpal Main Written Examination
Candidates shortlisted through PET appear in the Lekhpal Main Examination 2025.

Shortlisting Ratio for Main Examination
- Candidates are shortlisted 15 times the number of vacancies, category wise
- All candidates securing PET normalized score up to the final cutoff are included
- If the exam is held in multiple shifts, normalization of marks is applied
Final Merit and Selection
- Final merit list is prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in the Lekhpal Main Written Examination
- PET marks are not included in final merit
- Reservation rules of Uttar Pradesh Government are applied

Candidates selected in the merit list are called for document verification.
Documents include:
