Tin Smith:

  • Candidates should have Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board.
  • Should have proficient in trade work

EBR :

  • Candidates should have Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board.
  • Should be able to carry out all canvas/ textile and leather repair and also replacement of equipment’s and boots.

Barber:

  • Candidates should have Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board.
  • conversant with duties of respective trade with one year experience.
  • Should have proficient in trade work.

Camp Guard:

  • Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
  • Should have proficient in trade work.

MTS (Mali / Gardener):

  • Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
  • Should have proficient in trade work.

MTS (Messenger / Reno Operator):

  • Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
  • Conversant with duties of respective trade with one year experience.
  • Should have proficient in trade work.

MTS (Chowkidar):

  • Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution and.
  • Should be proficient in trade work.

Station Officer:

  • Candidates should have 12th standard pass from a recognised board.
  • Must have served in a recognized civil or Defence Fire Brigades in a supervisory capacity for a minimum period of 03 years.
  • Senior Fire Supervisor Course from Defence Institute of Fire Research Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub Officers Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar recognised course.

Fireman:

  • Candidates should have Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board.
  • Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fittings and fire appliances and equipment’s fire engines, trailer, pumps, foam branches.
  • Must be familiar with the use and maintenance of first-aid fire fighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump.

Fire Engine Driver:

  • Candidates should have Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board.
  • Must have atleast 03 years experience of driving heavy vehicles and be in possession of valid driving licence.
  • Should be proficient in trade work.

Fire Fitter:

  • Candidates should have Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board.
  • Should be proficient in trade work.

Civilian Catering Instructor:

  • Candidates should have Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board.
  • Diploma or Certificate in catering from any recognised institution.

Cleaner:

  • Candidates should have Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board.
  • Should be proficient in trade work.

Cook:

  • Candidates should have Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board.
  • Must have knowledge of Indian Cooking and Proficiency in trade.

Civilian Motor Driver:

  • Candidates should have Matriculation or equivalent from recognised board.
  • Must possess valid driving licence for both heavy and light motor vehicles.

Physical Standards & Endurance Test

Fire Engine Driver & Fireman

Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test as under:-

  • Height: 165 cms: provided that a concession of 2.5 cms in height shall be allowed for members of the ST.
  • Chest: 81.5 -85 cms and Weight: 50 kgs (min.)
    Endurance Test (Skill Test):
  • Carrying a man (fireman lift of 65.5 kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds)
  • Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet (Long jumps)
  • Climbing 3 meters vertical rope using hands and feet.

About Written Examination

  • Total No. of Questions: 150
  • Maximum Marks: 150
  • Time Duration: 2 Hours
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 Marks (1/4)
  • Exam Centre: Written examination and Skill/Physical/ Practical tests, scheduled to be conducted in ASC Centre (South)/ (North) Bangalore (Karnataka) Only.
  • Language: The question papers of Written Test will be bilingual i.e. English & Hindi. However, the questions on the portion of English Language subject will be in English only

ASC Centre South 2 ATC Written Exam Syllabus

A) General Intelligence& Reasoning: The questions will be of Matriculation standard and would include questions of non-verbal type. The test may include questions on analogies, problem solving analysis, judgment, decision making visual memory, similarities and differences, space visualization,

Discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship arithmetical-computation and other analytical functions.

B) General Awareness: The questions will be of Matriculation standard. The questions will be designed to test the ability of candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of Matriculation standard educated person.

The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that, they do not require a special study of any discipline.

C) English Language: The questions will be of Matriculation standard. Candidates understanding the basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage etc. His/ her writing ability would be tested.

D) Numerical Aptitude: This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, use of Table and Graphs, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations,  Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and time, Time and Work etc

Required Documents to be Attached with the Application Form

Copies of the following certificates should be sent along with the application. Original certificates should not be sent with the application.

  1. Educational and professional qualification certificates.
  2. Birth certificate (Matriculation Certificate).
  3. Caste Certificate, if you belong to reserved category.
  4. Residence/ Domicile Certificate.
  5. Character Certificate issued by the Sarpanch/Gazetted Officer.
  6. Experience Certificate. If any relevant to post.
  7. Two self attested latest photographs. (Name & Father’s name on the back site of photo)
  8. One self addressed registered envelope duly affixed with appropriate postal stamp.
  9. Aadhar Card in Duplicate.
  10. Attach other necessary documents with the application form.

General Conditions & Instructions

  • The candidates must clearly superscribe “Application for the post of _____________” on the top of the envelope in Capital letters. The reserved category candidate should clearly write their reserved category on the left hand corner of the envelope, for which he/she is applying ie SC/ST/OBC EWS/ESM/ PWD.
  • Overall percentage in Matriculation / equivalent in capital letters duly signed by the candidates with the following colour ink :
  • (aa) Less than or equal to 50% in RED INK.
  • (ab) From 51% to 60% in BLUE INK.
  • (ac) Above 61% in BLACK INK.
  • Fill all the columns of the application yourself, In plain and Capital letters.
  • The application can be filled by the candidates either in English or Hindi.
  • No cutting or over harvesting in the application.
  • The SC/ST and OBC candidates who apply against unreserved post will not be given any age relaxation.
  • Incomplete, incorrect, wrongly filled, over writing, without signature, without photograph application will be rejected.
  • All India service liability will be applicable for candidates who are applying for above posts.
  • This office shall not be responsible for any kind of postal delay.
  • Dates of examinations will be intimated to the eligible candidates at a later date.
