Army Dental Corps Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be BOS (with minimum 55% marks in final year BDS)/ MOS having passed from a College/University recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI).
• One-year Compulsory Rotatory Internship, as mandated by DCI, by 30 Jun 2025.
• Permanent Dental Registration Certificate of State Dental Council/DCI valid at least up to 31 Dec 2025.

Army Dental Corps Selection Process 2025

The selection process for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Army Dental Corps 2025 will be carried out in multiple stages. Each stage is designed to test the eligibility, merit and fitness of the candidates.

Screening for Interview

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on their NEET (MDS)-2025 score.
• For each vacancy, 10 candidates will be called for the interview (ratio 1:10).

Interview

• Shortlisted candidates will appear before a Selection Board at New Delhi.
• The Board will assess the suitability, personality and merit of the candidates.
• The final merit list will be prepared solely on the basis of interview performance.
• Those who qualify the interview will move to the medical stage.

Medical Examination

• Candidates provisionally placed on the merit list must undergo a comprehensive medical examination by a Medical Board of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).
• Only candidates declared medically fit will be considered for commission.
• Candidates found unfit can apply for Appeal Medical Board (AMB) within 42 days. A Review Medical Board (RMB) may be allowed at the discretion of DGAFMS.
• Pregnancy at the time of medical exam will result in temporary unfitness.

Merit List and Final Selection

• The merit list will be prepared only from interview marks.
• SSC in Army Dental Corps will be granted strictly in order of merit and medical fitness.

Grant of Commission

• Selected candidates will be commissioned as Captains in the Army Dental Corps.
• They will undergo training at AMC Centre & College, Lucknow at Government expense.
