BDL India MT Selection Process 2025

The recruitment process includes a written test followed by an interview. Both stages play a major role in the preparation of the final merit list.

Computer Based Test (CBT)

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to appear for the Computer Based Online Test. Details regarding exam date, time and venue are shared through the admit card which applicants must download from the official website. A valid email ID is required for all future communication during the recruitment process.

The test duration is two hours and the paper contains 150 multiple choice questions divided into two parts:

• Part I – 100 questions from the relevant discipline
• Part II – 50 questions from General Aptitude

Each question carries one mark and 0.25 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. The CBoT carries 85 percent weightage in the final selection.

To qualify for the interview stage, candidates must score the minimum cutoff marks:

• UR and EWS – 60 percent marks
• SC, ST, OBC (Non Creamy Layer) and PwBD – 50 percent marks for posts reserved for these categories

Cutoff marks are prepared discipline wise and candidates are shortlisted for the interview based on the 1:10 ratio depending on the number of vacancies.

Interview

Candidates shortlisted from the CBoT appear for the interview. The interview carries 15 percent weightage in the selection. Performance in both stages decides the final merit.

Test Centers

The CBoT is conducted across various locations including Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Trivandrum and Vijayawada.
Applicants must select their preferred exam center while submitting the online application. The recruiting authority reserves the right to modify, add or cancel test centers based on the number of applicants. If any change occurs, a new test center will be allotted automatically.
