Application Fee

After ensuring the correctness of the details in the Chandigarh Junior Technician Recruitment 2022 application form, candidates are required to pay the Chandigarh Junior Technician and Jeep Driver application fee through the payment gateway on the Electrical Wing of the Engineering Department (Chandigarh) website integrated with the online application. Chandigarh Junior Technician Age Limit

Chandigarh Junior Technician and Jeep Driver Eligibility Criteria

Junior Technician

• Matric Pass from recognized Board/ University.
• I.T.I. Trade Certificate in the Electrician/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering and 02 years experience in the Trade.
• Certificate of ICT Skills course i.e. course of Computer Concepts (CCC)- 80 hours from institution which is an ISO 9001 certified OR DOEACC OR NIELIT.

Jeep Driver

• Matric Pass from recognized Board/ University.
• Must have valid license for driving heavy motor vehicles (HTV).
• 03 years experience of driving a heavy vehicle both in plains and hills (according to requirement).
• Knowledge of Hindi and/ or Punjabi.

Selection Process

Chandigarh Junior Technician Selection Process

Chandigarh Junior Technician written test consisting of Multiple choice questions will be conducted as under:-

One objective written test consisting (Section-I & Section-II) of multiple choice questions will be conducted. Candidates will be selected on the basis of total marks obtained in the Chandigarh Junior Technician test. No interview will be conducted and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong Answer.

• Total No. of Questions: 150
• Time Duration: 180 Minutes (3 Hours)

Section-1): 100 questions having the level of I.T.I. Trade Certificate standard as per qualification prescribed for the post.

Section-2): 50 questions (20 questions on English, 20 questions on Mental Ability and 10 questions on Computer Aptitude).

Chandigarh Jeep Driver Selection Process

Chandigarh Administration Jeep Driver Selection will be made on the basis of Written Test and Driving Skill Test. Written test will be of objective type (MCQs) of duration of 120 Minutes (2 Hours) comprising of the following three sections:-

a) Knowledge of motor vehicle act and traffic rules: 50 marks
b) Knowledge of vehicle repair and mtc.: 40 marks
c) Basic Knowledge of first aid: 10 marks

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Driving skill test consist of III parts:-

a) Dug/Ramp Test – (Reverse driving test) (one chance only).
b) “8” Shape Driving Test (for only those who qualify the dug/ramp test) (one chance only).
c) Road Test – (for only those who qualify both (a) & (b) tests above) (one chance only).

On the basis of merit in Chandigarh Jeep Driver written test, candidates will be called for Chandigarh Jeep Driver driving skill test (which is only qualifying). Thereafter, candidate who qualify the skill test will be called for scrutiny of original documents and checking up eligibility condition. The final selection will be made on the basis of merit in the written examination and there will be no personal interview.
