DSSSB MTS Selection Process 2025 |
The selection for DSSSB Multi Tasking Staff 2025 will be done through an online written exam followed by department preference and document checking. This combined exam covers all departments listed in the notification and final allocation depends on marks and preference.
Written Examination
The main stage of the recruitment is a computer based test. Every candidate has to appear in this exam because it decides the merit list for all departments.

Every correct answer carries one mark and wrong answers reduce 0.25 mark.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
Candidates must secure the minimum score fixed by DSSSB to qualify for the next stage.
- General and EWS – 40 percent
- OBC – 35 percent
- SC ST PwBD – 30 percent
- Ex-servicemen get 5 percent relaxation in their category with a minimum of 30 percent
Marks may go higher depending on the number of candidates and vacancies.
Score Normalization
If the exam is held in many shifts DSSSB uses a normalization method. This gives equal treatment to all candidates and the normalized score becomes the final score used for merit and allocation.
Skill Test or Physical Test (If Needed)
Some departments may need extra tests like skill test endurance test trade test or a driving test. These will be held only when the user department demands it.
If a department does not require any practical ability then the written exam becomes the only selection stage.
Department Preference Submission
This is a combined exam so candidates must choose their preferred departments during the e dossier process.

- Preferences cannot be changed after submission
- If a candidate is not eligible for a selected department that option is rejected
- Final posting depends on merit and preference
Careful selection of preferences is important because no second chance is given.
Document Verification (E Dossier)
Shortlisted candidates must upload their documents online. The user department checks these documents to confirm age education category and other eligibility conditions.

Failure to upload documents within the allowed time leads to cancellation.
Final Selection and Department Allotment
The final result is prepared using

Once a department is allotted no change is allowed. There is no waiting panel for this exam.
Tie Breaking Rule
If two candidates get the same marks then
- Candidate older in age is placed higher
- If age is also same the candidate with a name that appears earlier in alphabetical order gets the higher rank
