(a) Qualifying Tests:
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission will call in a sufficient number of candidates based on their performance in the Common Eligibility Test (CET). These candidates will undergo a Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and a Physical Screening Test (PST), both of which are solely for qualification purposes. The Commission may conduct these tests in multiple batches to shortlist candidates, aiming for four times the advertised post vacancies in each category for the Knowledge Test.
(b) Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
Candidates must undergo the Physical Measurement Test according to the standards outlined in Appendix-B of the Haryana Police (Non-Gazetted and Other Ranks) Service Rules, 2017, as amended. To ensure fairness, digital measurement devices will be utilized wherever possible, allowing candidates to view their measurements on a digital display. The Commission will publish the results of the PMT on its official website, and candidates failing to meet the prescribed standards will be eliminated from further consideration.
(c) Physical Screening Test (PST):
Candidates who pass the Physical Measurement Test will proceed to the Physical Screening Test to assess their physical fitness and endurance. The standards for this test will be specified, and candidates are responsible for ensuring their medical fitness for the test. The Commission will publish the results of the PST on its official website, and only candidates meeting the prescribed standards will continue in the selection process.

(d) Knowledge Test:
The Knowledge Test will carry a weightage of 64.5% and will primarily focus on General Knowledge and horse upkeep, maintenance, and management.
(e) Riding Skills Test:
Candidates will undergo a Riding Skills Test to assess their proficiency in riding and horse care, with a maximum of 20 marks allocated for this assessment.
(f) Marks for Participation in Championships:
Candidates may earn marks based on their achievements in International/National/State Level championships, with a maximum of 10 marks available.
(g) Additional Weightage:
Additional marks may be awarded for possessing NCC certificates or meeting socio-economic criteria, as per the Common Eligibility Test Policy.
(h) Syllabus for Knowledge Test:
The Knowledge Test will cover topics such as General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, Reasoning, Aptitude, Numerical ability, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and relevant fields. Questions related to computer basics and Haryana-specific knowledge will also be included.
(j) Pattern of Examination:
The examination will consist of 100 compulsory questions, with the question paper being bilingual (English & Hindi). There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates must mark one option out of five for each question, with an additional five minutes provided to mark the fifth option if needed. Candidates who leave a question unanswered will incur a deduction of 0.645 marks per unanswered question. The total time allocated for the exam, including marking, will be 105 minutes.
