• A Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

Negative Marking (Pre & Main): In the Objective Tests, there are penalties for wrong answers. If a candidate provides an incorrect answer to a question, one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty from their total score. However, if a candidate leaves a question blank and does not provide an answer, there will be no penalty for that particular question.

Phase-II: IBPS PO Interview

After qualifying for the mains exam, candidates are invited for a face-to-face interview, which is scored out of a maximum of 100 marks. To pass the interview, candidates need to achieve a minimum qualifying mark of 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).

The interview round typically lasts for about 15-20 minutes, during which a panel of bank officials asks candidates various questions about themselves, the banking sector, current affairs, general awareness and other relevant topics. It is crucial for the candidates to be well-dressed, confident and bring all the required documents to the interview.

The final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the main examination and the interview. The final score is calculated by IBPS with a weightage of 80% given to the main examination and 20% to the interview.
