Income Tax Sports Quota Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Stenographer (Steno):

  • 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.

 Tax Assistants:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
  • Having a data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour.

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):

  • Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board/Council.

Sports Eligibility for Appointment

Outstanding sportspersons can be considered for appointment based on the following criteria:

Representation at National/International Level

  • Athletes who have represented their State or Country in National or International competitions.
  • Medal winners in Junior National Championships.
  • Medal winners in Khelo India Youth Games (for participants above 18 years).
  • Medal winners in Khelo India Winter Games or Khelo India Para Games.
  • Medal winners in Khelo India University Games.
  • Medal winners in School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in any of the recognized sports listed in Para 5.

Special Criteria for Chess

  • Players with Grandmaster (GM) Title, International Master (IM) Title, or those who have competed in the Chess Olympiad.
  • The IM/GM title must be in the Open Category (e.g., Woman Grandmaster (WGM) also qualifies).
  • National Open Chess Championship will be considered as a National Championship.
  • Medal winners in National Team Chess Championship will also be eligible.

Inter-University Representation

  • Players who have represented their University in Inter-University Tournaments organized by the Inter-University Sports Boards in any of the sports mentioned in Para 5.

State School Representation

  • Players who have represented their State School Teams in National-level School Games conducted by the All-India School Games Federation in any of the recognized sports.

General Eligibility Conditions

  • Candidates must meet the required age, education, and experience qualifications as per the relevant Recruitment Rules.
  • Any relaxation in these criteria will only be applicable as per the rules for specific categories.

Additional

  • The order of preference outlined in Para VI of Consolidated OM No. DOPT-1720781414772 dated 04.03.2024 will be followed in the selection process.
  • Only performances in recognized tournaments/events held between 2020 and March 15, 2025, will be considered.
