- Candidates must have passed 10th class examination (under 10+2 system) or its equivalent.
- Must have passed ITI course in relevant trades from a recognized institute.

SECR Raipur Apprentice Selection Process 2024 |

During the apprentice training period, selected candidates will undergo one year of training for each trade and receive a stipend according to Railway Board regulations. Upon completion of their apprenticeship, their training will conclude.
For the selection process, the merit list will be prepared based on the average percentage marks obtained in both Matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examination, with equal weight given to both.
Selected candidates will need to provide a medical certificate during document verification, following the guidelines of the Apprenticeship Act 1961 and relevant rules. The certificate should be signed by a government authorized Doctor, not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon of a Central/State Hospital.
Once selected, candidates, or their guardians if they are minors, must enter into a contract of apprenticeship with the employer.
There is no obligation for the employer to offer employment after the training, and likewise, apprentices are not obligated to accept any employment if offered. Candidates should familiarize themselves with the rules and regulations under the Apprentices Act 1961.
Ex-servicemen candidates selected under the 10% reservation provided for them will be placed in the appropriate category (UR/SC/ST/OBC) to which they belong.
