UKPSC Civil Service Selection Process 2025 |
📌 Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (प्रारंभिक परीक्षा)
- Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)
- Papers: Two
- General Studies – 150 marks
- General Aptitude Test – 150 marks
- Total Marks: 300
- Duration: 2 hours for each paper
- Qualifying Nature: Marks are not counted for final merit, only used to shortlist candidates for the Main Exam.
📌 Stage 2: Mains Examination (मुख्य परीक्षा)
- Type: Descriptive/Written
- Papers: Total 7 papers

- Language Paper (Hindi & English) – Qualifying nature
- Essay – 150 marks
- General Studies I – 200 marks
- General Studies II – 200 marks
- General Studies III – 200 marks
- General Studies IV – 200 marks
- Optional Subject Paper – 200 marks (if applicable)
💡 Only those who qualify the language paper will have their other papers evaluated.
- Total Marks for Merit: 950 (excluding the qualifying language paper)
📌 Stage 3: Interview / Personality Test (साक्षात्कार)
- Marks: 150
- This stage evaluates:
- Communication skills
- Personality
- Knowledge of current affairs
- Leadership and suitability for administrative roles
✅ Final Merit
- Based on 950 marks from Mains + 150 marks from Interview
- Total: 1100 marks
- Candidates are selected in descending order of marks for available vacancies.
