Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test Eligibility Criteria 2023

Paper 1 (Secondary)

To be eligible for Paper 1 (Secondary), you must meet one of the following criteria:

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and have successfully passed the B.Ed examination.
• Hold a Master’s Degree in a related subject and have passed the B.Ed examination.
• Hold either a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with at least 45% marks (in accordance with NCTE norms) and have successfully completed the B.Ed program.
• Have passed the 4-year course of BA BEd or BSc BEd.

Paper 2 (Senior Secondary)

For Paper 2 (Senior Secondary), the eligibility criteria are as follows:

• Possess a Master’s Degree in a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and have either passed the B.Ed examination or BA BEd / BSc BEd program.
• Hold a Master’s Degree with at least 45% marks (in accordance with NCTE norms) and have successfully completed the B.Ed program.
• Hold a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks and have completed a 3-year B.Ed MEd course.
