Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the Central Bank of India Apprentice online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent/ Birth certificate will be accepted by the Central Bank of India (CBI) for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted. 📝 Selection Process – Central Bank of India Apprenticeship 2025
The recruitment of 400 apprentices across India will be based on merit and includes the following stages:
✅ Stage 1: Online Examination (Objective Type)
All eligible applicants will appear for a Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted by BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (BFSI SSC).
🧮 Exam Pattern:

- Duration: 60 minutes
- Negative Marking: ❌ No negative marking
✅ Key Point: The test evaluates general aptitude and basic knowledge of banking products.
✅ Stage 2: Local Language Proficiency Test
After clearing the online test, shortlisted candidates must undergo a local language test to verify:
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking
- Understanding
Candidates must be proficient in the designated local language of their selected state/district (as per Annexure-II of the notification).
📌 Candidates failing this test will be disqualified even if they pass the online exam.
✅ Stage 3: Document Verification
Candidates who clear both the online test and local language test must attend document verification at a Central Bank of India regional office.
They must produce original and photocopies of:
- Age proof (10th certificate or birth certificate)
- Graduation degree and marksheets
- Caste/Category/EWS/PwBD certificate (if applicable)
- Disability certificate (for PwBD)
- ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.)
📌 All documents must be valid and issued before the last date of application.
✅ Stage 4: Medical Fitness Check
Candidates will only be engaged after being declared medically fit by a qualified MBBS doctor or as per Bank norms.
📌 Final Selection Criteria
The final merit list will be prepared state-wise and category-wise, based on:
- Marks obtained in the online examination
- Performance in the language test
- Verification of documents
- Medical fitness status
In case two or more candidates have the same marks, preference is given to the older candidate.
⚠️ Important Rules & Conditions
- The Bank reserves the right to modify the exam pattern, selection process or cancel the engagement entirely.
- There is no interview.
- The apprenticeship period is 12 months only.
- Apprentices are not bank employees and not eligible for regular employment post-training.
- Candidates must not have done any prior apprenticeship or have more than 1 year of job experience after graduation.
💰 Stipend
- ₹13,000 per month for 12 months
- No other benefits (e.g., TA/DA, housing, transport)
🧾 Contract of Apprenticeship
Final selected candidates will:
- Be registered and issued contracts via the NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in)
- Need to accept the digital apprenticeship contract online
