Chandigarh JBT Eligibility Criteria 2024

• Graduate or its equivalent from a recognized University. and
• Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) (by whatever name known) of not less than 02 years duration recognized by NCTE. OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
• Pass in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted in accordance with the Guidelines framed by NCTE.

The selection process will be based on a merit list, which will be determined by the total marks achieved in an Objective Type Test. A single objective type test with a maximum of 150 marks will be conducted. In order to qualify for the test, all candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks. There will be no interview phase in this selection process.

Important Points:

• *The questions’ difficulty level will correspond to that of up to 10th standard.
• To pass, candidates must achieve a minimum of 40% marks.
• Negative marking will be implemented, deducting 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
• The exam questions will be available in both English and Hindi languages. However, for Language papers, questions will be presented only in the relevant Language. Additionally, candidates who indicate their preference for the Punjabi medium while completing the online application form will have the option to receive the paper in English and Punjabi.
