The selection process for SSF Constable Barber and Washerman posts is conducted in multiple stages. Candidates must qualify each stage to move forward in the recruitment process.

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

In the first stage, candidates are required to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test. This test checks the physical fitness level of applicants.

• Running test is conducted within a fixed time
• Only qualifying in nature
• No marks are awarded

Candidates who fail in PET are not allowed to proceed further.

2. Physical Standard Test (PST)

After PET, candidates undergo Physical Standard Test.

• Height measurement
• Chest measurement (for male candidates)
• Weight as per medical standards

3. Trade Test

This is an important stage for both posts.

• For Barber: Hair cutting and related skills are tested
• For Washerman: Washing ironing and garment handling skills are tested

4. Written Examination

Candidates who qualify the above stages are called for a written exam.
