Rashtriya Military School Syllabus for Examination

(a) General Intelligence: The exam for the LDC post will feature questions at a 12th-grade difficulty level. The test will cover a range of cognitive abilities such as analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment,

Decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, and non-verbal series. Additionally, candidates will be assessed on their capacity to handle abstract ideas, symbols, arithmetical computation, and other analytical functions.

(b) General Awareness: The questions for the LDC post will be set at a 12th-grade standard and will focus on evaluating candidates’ general awareness of their surroundings and its relevance to society. The questions will also gauge their knowledge of current events and matters of everyday observation and experience, especially in their scientific aspects.

The examination will encompass topics related to India and its neighboring countries, with a particular emphasis on Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity (including the Indian Constitution), and Scientific Research. These questions will be broad-based and won’t necessitate specialized knowledge in any particular discipline.

(c) Numerical Aptitude: This section will include questions on problems related to Number systems, computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals, and Fractions, as well as the relationships between Numbers.

Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc., will also be covered.

(d) English Language: The questions for the LDC post will be set at a 12th-grade difficulty level and will assess candidates’ understanding of the basics of the English language.

This includes vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and correct usage. Additionally, candidates’ writing abilities will be evaluated.
