Candidates need to achieve the following minimum qualifying marks in the Computer Based Examination:

• For Unreserved (UR) candidates: 30%
• For Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates: 25%
• For all other categories: 20%

Candidates will be shortlisted for Paper-II, based on their marks obtained in Paper-I (Computer Based Examination), categorized by their respective groups. In case the Computer Based Examination is held in multiple shifts, standardized marks will be used for merit calculation and final selection.

After evaluating the performance in Paper-I & Paper-II, candidates will be considered for the ultimate selection. There might be distinct category-specific cutoff for Paper-I & Paper-II.

The final selection and allocation of Ministry/Department/Organization will be determined by candidates’ performance in Paper-I & Paper-II, as well as the preferences they indicate for Post(s)/Department(s).

SSC JHT Syllabus 2026

Paper-I (Computer Based):
