Air Force Non-Combatant Selection Process 2026

• Written Examination
• Physical Fitness Test
• Stream Suitability Test
• Document Verification
• Medical Fitness Test
• Final Selection

Stage 1: Written Test

All eligible candidates whose applications are accepted will be called for the written examination. The written test will be conducted at the station/location where the candidate submitted the application. The test is common for both Hospitality and Housekeeping streams.

Qualifying Criteria

• Minimum 5 marks in each subject.
• Minimum 15 marks out of 30 (50%) in aggregate.
• Candidates failing to meet these minimum marks will not be considered for the next stage.

Stage 2: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Only candidates who qualify in the written examination will be allowed to appear for the Physical Fitness Test. Depending on the number of qualified candidates, the Indian Air Force may restrict the number of candidates called for PFT based on written test merit. The PFT is qualifying in nature.

Height Check

• Minimum height: 152 cm
• Candidates below the prescribed height will be disqualified.

PFT-I

• 1.6 km Run
• Must be completed within 7 minutes
• Additional time is allowed only for high-altitude test locations as specified in the brochure.

PFT-II

Candidates qualifying the run must complete:

Stage 3: Stream Suitability Test (SST)

Candidates who qualify the Written Test and PFT may be shortlisted in merit order for the Stream Suitability Test. This test is qualifying in nature.

Hospitality Stream Assessment

Candidates are assessed for:

• Cooking skills
• Cutting vegetables, meat or fish
• Handling kitchen equipment
• Food preparation and presentation
• Kitchen hygiene and sanitation
• Serving food and beverages
• Personal hygiene and appearance
• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and fire precautions

Housekeeping Stream Assessment

Candidates are assessed for:

• Cleaning floors, roads, bathrooms and toilets
• Grass cutting and gardening
• Digging trenches
• Washing utensils
• Any one of the following:
  • Washing and ironing clothes
  • Hair cutting or grooming
  • Leather repair (Mochi work)
  • Tailoring and garment alteration

Important: Refusal to perform any task related to the selected stream will result in disqualification in the SST.

Stage 4: Medical Examination

Candidates qualifying the Stream Suitability Test will be called for medical examination according to merit. The medical examination will be conducted by the Indian Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards.

The examination includes:

• Blood Haemogram (Hb, TLC, DLC, Platelets)
• Urine RE/ME
• Blood Sugar (Fasting & Post-Prandial)
• Serum Cholesterol
• Renal Function Test (RFT)
• Liver Function Test (LFT)
• Chest X-ray (PA View)
• ECG
• Any additional investigation considered necessary by the Recruiting Medical Officer.

The decision of the Air Force Medical Authorities regarding fitness is final and there is no provision for appeal or review after being declared medically unfit.

Final Selection

Final selection is made strictly on merit from candidates who:

1. Qualify the Written Test.
2. Qualify the Physical Fitness Test.
3. Qualify the Stream Suitability Test.
4. Are declared Medically Fit by the Indian Air Force Medical Board.
5. Meet all eligibility conditions and document verification requirements.

Candidates should submit their application form along with self-attested copies of necessary documents at the following address before or on the last date of application through Offline Mode only (India Post). Application received after the last date (17 August 2026) or applications incomplete in any respect will not be considered.

Required Documents to be Attached with the Application Form

Copies of the following certificates duly attested by a Gazetted officer should be sent along with the application. Original certificates should not be sent with the application.

• Educational and Professional qualification certificates.
• Copy of Birth Certificate or Educational Certificate.
• Copy Aadhaar Card/ Other ID Card.
• Caste Certificate, if candidate belong to reserved category.
• Character Certificate issued by the Sarpanch/ Gazetted Officer.
• Residential Certificate duly signed by the ADM/ DM or Tehsildar.
• Copy of Experience Certificate, if any.
• A self-addressed envelope bearing a ₹10 postage stamp.
• Attach other necessary documents with the application form.

General Conditions & Instructions

Candidates must clearly subscribe the word, “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF AGNIVEERVAYU NON-COMBATANT INTAKE 01/2027” on the top of the envelope while sending the Air Force Non-Combatant application form.

• Only one application should be submitted for the post. Candidates desirous of applying form separate posts should submit separate applications clearly indicating the post for which they have applied for.
• The application can be filled by the candidates only in English/ Hindi.
• Fill all the columns of the application yourself, In plain and Capital letters.
• No cutting or over harvesting in the Air Force Non-Combatant application form.
• Incomplete, incorrect, wrongly filled, over writing, without signature, without photograph Air Force Non-Combatant application will be rejected.
• This Indian Air Force (IAF) office shall not be responsible for any kind of delay.
• The candidates must write their name, date of birth, father’s name and mother’s name strictly as given in the matriculation certificate otherwise their candidature be cancelled as and when it comes into the notice of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

1. What is the qualification required for IAF Agniveervayu Non-Combatant Recruitment 2027?

Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Pass) or an equivalent examination from a recognized Central, State or UT Education Board as on the date of registration.

2. What is the age limit for Agniveervayu Non-Combatant Intake 01/2027?

Applicants must be born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive). Additionally, the upper age on the date of enrolment must not exceed 22 years.
