CLRI Junior Stenographer Syllabus 2023
a) General Intelligence and Reasoning:
This section of the test covers a wide range of cognitive abilities. It includes questions in both verbal and non-verbal formats. Candidates can expect questions on topics like analogies, similarities, differences, spatial visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment,
Decision-making, visual memory, keen observation, understanding of relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, and more. The test aims to assess the candidate’s capacity to work with abstract ideas, symbols, arithmetic calculations, and other analytical skills.
b) General Awareness:
This part of the test evaluates candidates’ knowledge about the world around them and how it applies to society. Questions cover a wide spectrum, including current events, everyday observations, and scientific aspects relevant to common experiences.
The questions encompass topics related to India and its neighboring countries, focusing on areas such as sports, history, culture, geography, economic trends, general politics (including the Indian Constitution), and scientific research. Importantly, these questions do not require specialized knowledge in any particular field of study.
c) English Language and Comprehension:
This section assesses candidates’ proficiency in the English language. It encompasses various aspects, including vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and correct usage. The test evaluates the candidate’s writing ability, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of their language skills.
